The kura has been thoughtfully renovated to preserve its traditional character while offering the comforts of a modern home. With spacious living areas, a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and room for families or groups, it's the perfect place to reconnect with nature and with each other. Depending on the season, you can harvest fresh vegetables from our garden, meet our friendly chickens, or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful countryside. Inside, gather around the dining table for a home-cooked meal, watch a movie on the projector, or spend quality time playing board games together. Our home is conveniently located near Nasu Highlands, hot springs, hiking trails, ski resorts, and the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Nikko, making it an ideal base for exploring Tochigi while enjoying the tranquility of the countryside. Whether you're planning a family holiday, a weekend with friends, or a peaceful escape from the city, we hope you'll leave with wonderful memories and a genuine appreciation for life in rural Japan. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entire restored kura (traditional Japanese rice storehouse) and its surrounding private outdoor space throughout their stay. You'll enjoy: The entire house with no shared indoor spaces A fully equipped kitchen and dining area Spacious living room with projector and board games All bedrooms and bathrooms Private outdoor patio and Weber BBQ area Free on-site parking for multiple vehicles Depending on the season, guests are also welcome to enjoy our vegetable garden and meet our friendly chickens. As this is our family farm, we simply ask that you respect the plants and animals during your visit. Our family lives in a separate house on the same property. Your accommodation is completely private, and we will always respect your privacy. However, if you need assistance, local recommendations, or have any questions during your stay, we're only a short walk away and are always happy to help. Other things to note 🛁 Bathroom The house has two modern bathrooms, each equipped with a shower. Please note that there are no bathtubs. 🐶 Our Friendly Dogs Our two friendly, medium-sized dogs, Mili and Milo, live on the farm. They are gentle and enjoy meeting guests, but if you would prefer not to interact with them, just let us know and we'll happily keep them separated. 🔥 BBQ Rentals Enjoy an outdoor barbecue during your stay! • Weber Charcoal Grill – ¥1,000 (BBQ tools provided; guests supply their own charcoal) • Coleman Gas Grill – ¥3,000 (includes one gas cylinder) You're also welcome to bring your own BBQ equipment. For safety reasons, open fires and bonfires are not permitted. 🎆 Fireworks Handheld fireworks are welcome in the garden. We kindly ask that you avoid loud or aerial fireworks out of consideration for our neighbours. A bucket of water will be provided for safe disposal. 🧺 Laundry A washer-dryer is available for guests and is located in the bathroom, making longer stays comfortable and convenient. 🌿 Nature & Seasons Our home is surrounded by farmland and nature, so you may encounter insects, especially during the warmer months. We provide mosquito coils and insect spray, and guests who are particularly sensitive may also wish to bring their preferred insect repellent. 🚗 Getting Here The final 100 metres to the property is a quiet country lane between rice fields. After booking, we'll send you a Google Maps pin and a photo guide to ensure you arrive easily. 🌾 Farm Experience Depending on the season, guests are welcome to enjoy the vegetable garden and meet our friendly chickens.
