Closed garage 33 m2 (door height 1. 95 m) also allows the storage of skis, shoes, bikes and also do-it-yourselfers to indulge in their hobby or garden if their heart tells them. A large plot of 2300 m2 surrounds the accommodation and you will be in the 1st row to enjoy a magnificent and relaxing landscape, where barbecue and garden furniture will enhance your meals. Foncine le Haut, a dynamic village with all shops and services on site, will enchant you with its charm. The Nordic ski area is vast. The alpine ski slopes are intended for a family audience. See the webcam on the Jura-Foncine website. You will find at Foncine the ESF and equipment to rent. The most significant ski areas are located in Les Rousses or Métabief: 30 km by car in both cases. In summer, beautiful signposted walks or mountain biking will be offered in a comprehensive collection of activities. You will find many addresses and ideas to plan your stay and visit all the tourist pearls of the sector. The essentials in a close environment are: -The Belvédère du Bulay (departure on foot from the chalet). -La Source de la Saine (departure on foot from the chalet). -The Langouette Gorges and the Billaude Waterfalls (a few km from the chalet). -The Cascades du Hérisson, Lac St Point, the 4 Lakes (1/2 hour by car) and its belvedere. At the end of the day, you can buy Comté from the cheese cooperative, charcuterie and Jura wines in Foncine for fondue, raclette, etc. Coming back from Lake St Point, stop at one of the last artisanal foundries in Cloches. Returning from the Hedgehog waterfalls, stop at the Boissellerie du Hedgehog = multitude of wooden objects (toys, kitchen utensils, decoration). To discover agricultural life, you can visit, during milking, a dairy cow farm with yoghurt and farmhouse cheeses in the town of Planches en Montagne, 10 km from the Chalet.
