Just yards from the beautiful sandy bay of Port Logan, Curlew Cottage is a well-equipped holiday cottage, providing a cosy and comfortable base from which to explore this stunning part of southwest Scotland. Ideal for sea anglers, walkers, bird watchers or families just looking for that peaceful relaxing break! The cottage has wifi, a flat-screen TV, Freeview, a DVD player, iPod docking station and a Mud Daddy for washing down your sandy pet! There is on-street parking with room for your boat! The space PLEASE NOTE:- 1st MAY - 30th SEPTEMBER XMAS AND NEW YEAR: MINIMUM 7 NIGHT STAY WITH CHECK-IN/OUT SATURDAY ONLY. Shorter stays (minimum 4 nights) are available outside the peak season. Curlew is a warm & welcoming cottage boasting an outstanding location on the seafront. Enjoy an evening glass of wine in front of the cosy log burner in the spacious sitting room, or curl up in front of the TV after a day exploring the beautiful surroundings, hill walking or cycling. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for meal preparation or rustling up a quick lunch before heading out to the beautiful Dumfries & Galloway countryside. The master bedroom has a super comfortable king sized bed to ensure a good night sleep and second bedroom two has 2 single beds. Recently renovated, the cottage is comfortable, spacious but cosy and will become your bolt hole to this stunning part of Scotland. Port Logan is in a beautiful, peaceful, rural coastal location approximately 20 minutes by car from the town of Stranraer where you can access supermarkets and other shops. Smaller shops in the nearby villages of Drummore and Sandhead are available for your everyday groceries. Pets (two small or one medium sized dog) are welcome. If you plan to bring a pet please message us with the number and breed of your dog/s first. Please check our pet policy before booking your stay, this can be found under the 'House Rules' section of this listing. An additional fee of £15 is applicable to cover the cost of additional cleaning. Please note that whilst Curlew cottage is directly across the road from the beach, it does not have a sea view due to the sea wall. However our apartment, Sunset View, in the same location has sea views from all rooms. Guest access Guests have sole use of the cottage and outside seating area which is fully enclosed. Other things to note Curlew Cottage shares an external door with our other accommodation - Sunset View - but has a completely separate internal front door. One room in Sunset View is located above one room in Curlew Cottage. Where available, Curlew Cottage and Sunset View may be booked (subject to availability) for larger families or two families wishing to holiday together (to a maximum of 8 people). Please note, however, that we do not allow pets in Sunset View.
