Cottage by Hemnessjøen with private beach, near Oslo.

A gem of a place. The cabin is idyllically located right down by Hemnessjøen. It has a simple standard. THERE IS NO RUNNING WATER AND NO INSTALLED WATER. Beach line with good bathing opportunities. Fine possibilities for pike fishing and other fish. You can drive all the way down and park at the cabin. Space for several cars. Large plot with lawn. The cabin is from 1919 and has retained much of the original charm of the building. Quiet neighborhood and great nature. Great starting point for hiking in forests and fields and on the lake. Nice view of Hemnessjøen. The space The place is an hour from Oslo. Private beach with swimming and fishing opportunities. Jetty where you can lie and sunbathe and rowboat. Good space, beautiful nature and calm. Here there is plenty of space and room to frolic outside. Seating group outside and gas grill. Road all the way up and good parking opportunities. Glass porch with small dining area and divan. Living room with sofa bed for two, coffee table, TV and larger dining area. Wood burning in the living room. Kitchen with stove, fridge with a small freezer on top. Kettle and coffee maker. Pots, frying pan. In the drawer in the kitchen table: scissors, sharp knife, cutlery and other. Plates and glasses in cabinets above the kitchen counter. THINGS YOU MUST BRING: Bed linen, towels, drinking water in jugs, kitchen towel, paper towel. Various disposable cutlery, plates, mugs for the least amount of dishes. CLEANING: Vacuum and clean before departure. Remember to wash tables and benches. Put things back where they were when you arrived. Washing water is collected from the lake. Vacuum cleaner and cleaning equipment are in the high cabinet in the kitchen. Please take out the garbage. Pets can be brought. They are not allowed in the beds and not alone in the cabin without a cage. Remember that dogs must be kept on a leash here in Norway from April 1 to August 20. Dogs are not to run loose. Practical information: For washing dishes, it is a good idea to boil drinking water in a kettle. Mix with lukewarm drinking water to get the right temperature. Water for washing hands in the wash basin and washing floors etc. is collected with a bucket in the lake. (We use the shiny bucket in the kitchen with a ladle in it.) It is not possible and not allowed to charge electric cars at Strandodden. Guest access Porch with stairs up and outdoor furniture. Entrance to glass veranda with seating area and divan. Living room with corner sofa that can be turned into a sofa bed. Large dining area. Wood burning stove. TV. Kitchen with kettle, coffee maker, stove and fridge with small freezer. Washbasin and mirror. Stairs up to the 2nd floor. 1 bedroom with a double bed The 2nd bedroom has 2 queen size beds, a single bed, 1 cot and a mattress to put on the floor. Workplace/desk with a great view of Hemnessjøen 🌊🩵🥰 Large plot with lawn, about 3 da. Gravel road and parking space for several cars. No bathroom. Outdoor toilet. Other things to note There are great hiking opportunities. Dillevik Horse Center and IPT Farm are 8 km away. There is the possibility to greet horses, dogs and cats. There is also a bird tower with binoculars. It is located in Hæra Nature Reserve where there are many different birds, including swans, cranes, eagles, geese. Please contact the host for request.
