Located just 12 minutes from the Main Street of Port Douglas, our cottage offers the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience. Originally built in 1977 from local river stone and timbers sourced directly from the property, the cottage has been lovingly restored and completed in 2024, retaining its unique charm while incorporating modern comforts. Highlights of our cottage include: Amazing air-conditioned bathroom: Complete with a double shower and bath with valley views for a spa-like experience. Two massive bedrooms: One with a king-size bed and the other with a queen-size bed for ultimate comfort. Spacious lounge: Featuring a pull-out sofa bed and a 64-inch smart TV for your entertainment. Huge deck: Equipped with a daybed, bar, outdoor kitchen, induction cooking, and a massive island bench, perfect for relaxing and dining outdoors. Separate second toilet with laundry facilities: Adding convenience to your stay. Our cottage is close to several local attractions: Bump Track: Ideal for hiking enthusiasts and mountain bikers, this historic trail offers stunning scenery and a glimpse into the region's past. Hartley's Crocodile Adventures: Get up close with Australian wildlife at this popular zoo. Wildlife Habitat Zoo: Another excellent spot to discover native animals in natural habitats. Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef: Take a short drive to experience the wonders of the world's largest coral reef system. The Port Douglas area offers a wealth of outdoor activities including horse riding, hiking, and exploring the lush Daintree Rainforest. With amazing ocean views as your backdrop, you'll find endless opportunities to enjoy nature. We also have three friendly sheep—Rosemary, Shaun, and Cuddles—who love the company of guests. Our cottage is very kid-friendly, featuring play mats, toys, and a trampoline for the little ones to enjoy. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home, however as this is our place of residence we utilise some cupboards for self storage (however there is plenty of room for guests belongings). Shed is not accessible by guests. Other things to note An all wheel drive or 4wd vehicle is recommended to access the property as the driveway is unsealed. 7 seater Kia Sorrento available to hire.
