Welcome to a genuine Swedish log cabin from the 1820s – a place where history meets homeliness. Here you live rural in a cozy and well-equipped cottage with charming interior, rustic exposed timber beams, low doors, high thresholds and a lovely feeling of the passage of time. The cottage is located in a sunny south facing position with sunlight from morning till night – perfect for lazy days or nice barbecue evenings on one of the two patios. 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Guests and sleeping places: The accommodation allows a maximum of 8 people, including infants. There are a total of 9 beds: 1 double bed 160cm for 2 persons 1 bunk bed for 2 children 1 single bed for 1 child 1 sofa bed for 2 people 1 extra bed for 1 person 2 cribs for 2 babies But the accommodation is small, so it is recommended for 5 people. Max 4 adults, remaining children. 🛏️ The guests will have to bring their own linen, or rent from us. 🛋 Living room: Spacious and inviting with dining area for at least four people, sofa bed (sleeps two people 140 cm wide) with divan, armchair, wood burning fireplace, TV, board games and toys – perfect for both adults and children to relax together. 🛏 Bedroom: Bedroom with a 160 cm double bed and a bunk bed for three people (only 180 cm long). The bedroom lacks a door. There is also a closet and desk. 🍳 Kitchen: A smaller but complete kitchen where you easily cook your own meals. Equipped with stove, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster, coffee maker and kettle. 🚿 Bathroom: Fresh and functional with toilet, sink, shower and washing machine. (smaller water heater that is enough for one shower or dishes) 🌞 Patios: Two different places to enjoy the sun, a wooden deck and a graveled – both with outdoor furniture. Barbecue available. 🏡 The farm: The cottage is located on one corner of our farm. The farm is surrounded by fields, forest, fruit trees and small farms – a vibrant country setting where you get to experience the tranquility and natural life of the countryside. We ourselves live in the large house a bit away on the property. 🐓 The animals: Our chickens, ducks and cats also live here, all kind and sociable. If you want to join us to pick fresh breakfast eggs, you are most welcome to let us know – a appreciated experience for both big and small! 🏊‍♀️ Community facility: Free access to community facility 400m away with tennis court, soccer field, volleyball court, outdoor gym and pool (pool open in summer June-August). Here, culture and history meet - world unique Skokloster Castle – one of the world's foremost and best preserved baroque castles. Don't miss visiting the castle museum, which offers fascinating exhibitions and insights into Swedish and European history. Nearby you will also find Åbergs museum, a charming excursion destination with art, series and child-friendly activities. The area also offers exciting runes and ancient monuments, proximity to the historic town of Sigtuna, as well as beautiful nature reserves and hiking trails. Here also passes the popular Upplandsleden, which offers nature hiking through forests and along the waters of Lake Mälaren. Also take the opportunity to try your luck at fishing or why not a lovely trip by kayak or cross-country skates on shiny ice. Available 3 Other things to note Note: 🏡 The home is not a new build, but according to the pictures with many years on the neck and patina, but fully functional. The property is on a farm where we live and where things happen all the time, it is dug a little here, built a little there and gals a little from time to time… but of course with respect to everyone. 🛠 As the farm is constantly undergoing some renovations and improvements, there might be construction materials and work areas in some places. We recommend being careful when moving around the yard, and we ask for your understanding of any messy appearance in certain places. Despite this, we hope you have a lovely and relaxing stay here on our farm! 👟 Please wear shoes outside! As several construction and ground works have been carried out on the area recently, as well as the farm previously been unoccupied for a longer period, we cannot guarantee that the land is completely free of objects that may damage the feet. For your safety, we recommend wearing shoes at all times when outside. Use of the area is on your own risk. Thank you for your understanding! 🛝 Playground We have a play area in the yard with swings, slide and trampoline, for our kids and for all who want to play and have fun! Keep in mind that all play is at your own risk, and to always supervise the kids when playing.
