Optional there is a 50 sqm basement, which holds two double-bed bedrooms that are also rented out separately as another listing on Airbnb, except the guests order for more than 5 people. It is situated in the center of Thingeyri village, very close to all amenities. The house was originally built in 1911 and is known in the village as "Þorbergshúsið", ("The House of Thorbergur"), named after a famous skipper who built it for himself and his family. His son, Leifur, who was also a skipper took over the house after Thorbergur and lived there with his family. Now again the house owned by Thorbergur grandchildren, who were brought up in the house. Guest access The main floor contains two double rooms and one single room, a living room with a TV and an internet connection, a dining room, as well as a bathroom, with a bathtub. There is also a washing machine and a dryer in the basement where there is a second bathroom with a shower. The basement has two double rooms and a kitchenette so the basement shower might have to be shared with possible renters of the basement rooms. The two basement rooms can also be rented together with the upper floor for low additional price. Total number of lined beds are then 9. The basement can be accessed through a hatch and a stair in the floor. The kitchen is equipped with high tech facilities including a dishwasher. Outside holds a large veranda towards south with a large barbecue and a table for 10 people. Other things to note There is a small shop at the N1 gas station across the street where you can buy almost everything. Better prices and more selection is on the other hand in Bonus or Samkaup in Ísafjörður, a larger town 30 minutes away to the north.
