Tanjil Wilderness Retreat

Our house is a wilderness retreat close to Mount Baw Baw. Surrounded by tall trees, tree ferns and wildlife it's a place to get away from it all and relax. Enjoy the serenity from the three decks or two living rooms, commanding views of the forest with the Baw Baw Plateau backdrop. A spacious home, great for two families, a mix of modern and quirky charm a great place to base your next adventure, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, dirt bike riding, 4WD, trout fishing. The space Our two-story home has lots of space with two living areas, the pool table, fuse ball, darts and TV offer multiple entertainment options. The entrance leads to the master bedroom and opens up to the dining area and fireplace. Floor to ceiling windows and doors give you a glimpse of the amazing view. This enters to a huge back deck, bbq area and outdoor dining. Through the hall you enter the original part of the house. There is a recently renovated bathroom with a deep cast iron bath and shower over the bath.. The second bedroom with one set of bunks and a single bed. The well equipped kitchen has an oven, cook top and 24v large fridge, stove top expresso coffee pot (so bring ground coffee). It has rustic charm with a slab of timber bench top. The kitchen opens into a living room, couch, fuse ball and dart board. The third bedroom is found a the end of this room, it has a queen bed.. Upstairs is a huge family room. It has a pool table, couch TV, stereo. Huge windows let in lots of light and the room feels like you are in the trees. This has a balcony to sit and enjoy watch the sun set. Guest access The entire house. Other things to note There is no electricity in the town. We run our house on a mix of solar and gas. You will not be able to plug in 240v appliances. We have usb charging facility that works great for phones, tablets, cameras, most lap tops. You will need to bring sheets, pillow slips, towels and tea towels. Due to the sensitive environment we do not want to pollute the pristine environment with detergents, therefore we ask you to take your linen washing home with you. Fire wood is provided for use for heating in the fire place in the house, not for outdoor fires.
