Description

Built literally amongst the trees, these classic “dual-cabs” can be a great night’s stay for a family with all the basic ammenities you need, including air conditioning! A hop-skip-and-a-jump to the admired Glenbrook village of lower Blue Mountains, and gateway to the lower National Park, mountain biking and swims. 1 hour from the Sydney CBD by express train to the city. Start of the freeway. This is Lower Blue Mountains (not 3 Sisters area) A homely and humble relaxed space of your own The space While the kids can enjoy a fun, colourful dorm style room with 3 single beds, the parents can enjoy their own free space in the adjacent large (queen bed) cabin, only a shoe’s throw away. The deck offers open sky & outside air for an evening’s sip of wine or morning coffee, and, just up a flight of those “nostalgic” outside timber stairs, is the large under house Studio where there’s a open plan kitchen and breakfast table for doing your own meals and some sparkling new, clean bathroom space with a shower vanity and toilet - all exclusive space for the guests. The Twin-Cabins are built on private land to the lower side of the owners pole home in a bushy suburban battle ax block. A couple of umbrellas are provided for the open air walk between the cabins and the Studio if it’s raining. Surfaces and stairs may be slippery. Rain on the metal roofing and leaves dripping in the morning is as atmospheric as the wake up call of the birds on a beautiful fresh sunny morning. Pricing is based on the cleaning workload. (linen and towels provided), with a little to cover the set up costs and the mortgage. That is, it’s priced per number of guests not as any-number-of-guests. Discounts applied for multiple days help Guest access Guests have their own private access of their cabins and the studio with kitchen, breakfast area, breakout area, and bathroom space. The driveway is shared with the neighbour and owner please do not park in the driveway. Access to the cabin parking pad only (next to the cabin on the right hand side - NOT the left hand side as you enter. Reverse park in. There is a small kerb so not suitable for low clearance sport cars. The parking pad is not suitable for oversized cars , vans or utes. Please walk up and visually check if you are doubtful and concerned about reversing out later Other things to note PLEASE READ: No parties. As for most Air BnBs, parties can’t happen. Please be quiet, particularly on the deck area as sound travels clearly to other houses. Please keep car noise to a minimum (doors banging at night) Not a “love hotel” It doesn’t have that kind of vibe So…Please find a hotel. 😉 Detached. The bathroom is NOT IN the cabins. It is upstairs under the main house. (About a 10 meter walk) - Stairs: The stairs to and from the bathroom MAY NOT SUIT ELDERLY / or unstable, (no age-ism intended just practical advice). You should possibly look at a regular hotel room in this case. Pets and our Pet. The cabins are not actually fenced, but we’re happy to have your pets if they are more happy house dogs than unfriendly or dangerous. On the other hand we have a cocker spaniel. Also friendly. Shy to start with a very impolite woof at you, but good after everyone has met. Children / Bedding Arrangements: If you would like to move one child’s bed into the “parents cabin” ... it’s all Ok however we will use a stretcher bed if needed that can also be requested as a forth child - this will incur additional make up costs (sheets and towel) to be discussed… Sleeping with an infant in the parents bed or if you brought your own travel cot, doesn’t add on extra charge. ( no need to request an extra person in your booking, but please just let me know that’s your plan with your request for stay.) We also have a travel cot available for infants but will need to be set up and washing fee and packed up circa $20 per stay. Commercial: Commercial stays mid week are ok. However the rate for 2 people applies only for the assumption that both are using the double bed in the one cabin. If separate beds and cabins are required (which is more likely for work)- this needs to be requested and will require a double booking charge or similar- to be arranged. There is only one car park offered next to the cabin, additional parks on the private street in front. Early leaving / late night car movements should park on the street please for respect to noise affecting neighbours. Short(ish) Showers: Please keep showers relatively efficient. The hot water system is off peak (only reheats overnight) and is somewhat limited. It’s also shared with the host family... But there is enough water for a five minute shower to refresh and clean up for all. The Location: These cabins are NOT situated around the famous “3 Sisters” area, which is in Katoomba, it is around 45 minutes drive further to the west (upper mountains). Instead, it’s in the lower mountains area which has its own attractions and conveniences. BYO Linen We offer a discount if you’d like to BYO linen and towels ($20/bed per stay). Please let us know in your introduction for our prep for you. Registration Details PID-STRA-75544
