Loft apartment, panoramic views of Dartmoor

Sunny self-contained 1 bedroom loft apartment, situated in the historic village of Lydford, located right on the edge of Dartmoor. Baby friendly up to 1 years old. There are 2 fantastic pubs both serving excellent food and a farm shop. Lydford is on the Granite Way & an ideal base for walking, cycling & wild swimming. Lydford Gorge & Castle 10/15 min walk away. Tavistock & Okehampton 20 min & Bude 45 min drive making easy to explore the South West. The space The apartment has been converted to a high standard on the second floor of our house. You will have access to the 'blue bedroom' with ensuite with shower/bath, toilet & sink. An airy, bright open-plan sitting room/dining area with two large skylight windows with panoramic views of Dartmoor. Stunning sunrises and sunsets on a clear day. There is a well equipped fitted kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, fridge and freezer. There is a kitchen table perfect for those looking to work from home. TV and DVD player in the cosy living room. There is a second bathroom along the hallway has a sink, toilet, washing machine/dryer where you are welcome to do your laundry. There also an ironing board and iron. There is a wide range of maps/local history information, as well as an extensive DVD library, books and board games. We have a travel cot, high chair, changing mat and and bucket of baby toys/ baby books but please note the apartment is only appropriate for a child up to 1 years old. In light of Corona Virus, the apartment will be deep cleaned after every guest and linen washed and dried at high temperatures to ensure the apartment is a safe environment for our guests. Guest access There is parking for multiple vehicles on the large driveway at the front of the property, as well as free storage for bikes. Guests will have access to our rear garden and are welcome to use the outside tables and chairs - there are lots of different areas to relax and is a tranquil place to sit and wind down after a busy/lazy day! Other things to note The apartment is suitable for children up to the age of 1 years old. I'm afraid we cannot accommodate pets as we have two elderly cats on the property downstairs. There is a no smoking policy. A minimum stay of 2 nights. Open to long term stays and if you are looking for a place to work remotely - please message if this is of interest. Please note that we live in the bottom part of the house. We will be sharing a central stairwell from the front entrance hall up to the first floor. The apartment where you will be staying is totally self-contained.
