Description

Hølmo farm is an active farm with sheep farming and training of herding dogs. From mid-May until a little into June, the sheep graze on the pasture before they are released to the mountains. The guest house is located about 100m from the main house along the river Finna, and the river noise can be heard from the property. The city center is within walking distance. Bikes can be rented from us. Large living room, one bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. It is possible to rent extra bedrooms on the 2nd floor by agreement with us. The space The place is conveniently located in relation to exploring the amazing mountain areas of Jotunheimen. The city center is within walking distance with shops, cafes, restaurants and places of interest. Guest access Garden and patio. Other things to note Hiking and other things to do in when visiting us. There is a lot of possibilities near by Vågå. You can walk from the house you are staying in or you can rent a bike. Within less than 30 minutes drive from Vågå, you will find several really nice, easy access mountains, to hike in. We will be happy to show you where you can go. Bringen(nearby mountain area): We also have a mountain farm. The area around it has easy access and is a nice place to hike. 12 km with car to the place. Besseggen: There's a reason for the Besseggen being one of the most popular mountain hikes in Norway. The spectacular panoramic view over Jotunheimen's peaks and the two lakes - the deep blue Bessvatnet and the turquoise Gjende - draws more than 60 000 hikers during the short season that lasts from late June to early September Galdhøpiggen: Galdhøpiggen is Northern Europe’s highest mountain, reaching 2469 meters above sea level. The mountain is a national symbol of Norway situated in the heart of Norway - in the middle of the alpine and breathtaking nature in Jotunheimen National Park. Hiking to Galdhøpiggen is one of the country's most popular mountain hikes, and can be done both in the summer and in the winter with skis Brimi sæter: The area around Brimi sæter is a really nice place to go hiking and it is not so challenging as the two hikes above.
