The space Your gaze will be drawn to sweeping views of Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountain Range, blanketed by moss-soaking mist or crowned by fiery sunsets. Among mature Douglas fir, hemlock, cedar, and maple trees, silence here is broken only by water lapping and wind in the trees. This sanctuary is a 90-minute journey from Seattle, yet a world apart. A private trail leads you to the beach, where you may perch on driftwood or take a peaceful walk with a chance to see seals, orca, porpoises, starfish, and otters. Take a refreshing dip in the ocean, or cast a line for salmon (while in season), or launch a kayak. The rental is complete with a rejuvenating sauna, a wood barrel hot tub, a private outdoor shower, and an outdoor firepit to enjoy. Prepare meals in the full kitchenette and dine beside the wood-burning stove or on your woodland patio. Scenic Beach State Park is a short walk up the quiet road, to enjoy native rhododendrons, easily accessible hiking paths, and a beautiful garden and gazebo.
