The space Our beautiful stone Garden Cottage was originally a pump house for the main house on the estate, but was converted to a residential cottage sometime before 1980 and remained largely untouched after that. Since purchasing the estate, we have worked to lovingly restore the property to what you see in the photos. The property is perfect for one or two people and consists of five main rooms and a hallway (small step between lounge and bedroom area) - 1. Cosy living room (14'8" x 12'5") with new sofa, chair, BlueTooth portable radio, and brand new 55” smart TV (you can sign in to your own streaming service accounts like Netflix, Prime, and BBC iPlayer). Curl up to watch a film or read a book while gazing out over open fields to the east of the cottage. 2. Fully equipped modern kitchen/diner (11'6" x 9'5") with all you need to make a fabulous meal while enjoying the south-facing view of the walled garden; includes a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. 3. Spacious bathroom with shower over tub and washing machine; plenty of storage for all your bits while you're away from home. 4. Small but well-thought out downstairs bedroom (12'2" x 10'9") with an incredible view of open fields to the east; finished with a king-size bed (1.5m x 2m) with brand new mattress and bedding, black out curtains, clever phone charging arrangements at the bedside, and vintage clothes storage (additional hanging space upstairs if required). 5. Private and quiet upstairs office (12' x 12') with vintage desk and proper office chair and lamp as well as a useful printer. Guest access You will have the run of the cottage as well as a secluded seating area to the rear of the cottage with open views of our beautiful walled garden. Other things to note There is a small step to get into the cottage and a small interior step on the main level (visible in the hall photos). The office is located upstairs. Unfortunately, because of its exposed stone walls and hard floors, interior steps without stairgates, and single bedroom restriction in our licensing, the cottage is not suitable for children or infants.
