The Old Store Guest House is a charming bed & breakfast in the heart of the South Downs. Situated on the edge of the Goodwood Estate, just four miles from the cathedral city of Chichester and 12 miles from the beautiful beaches of West Wittering, The Old Store is the perfect base for enjoying events at Goodwood and exploring the beautiful West Sussex countryside and unspoilt coastline. Our rooms mix little touches of luxury with plenty of character and homely charm. The space Built in 1795 and originally part of the Goodwood Estate, The Old Store began life as the village bakery. The original bread oven is still a historic part of the building and the former shop is now home to our cosy breakfast room. When you’re not relaxing in one of our lovely beamed bedrooms or exploring the local area, we encourage you to make the most of our cosy sitting room and courtyard garden. Single Room This cosy first floor single room has everything you need for a comfortable stay in one snug little space. The perfect option for solo travellers on short stays. Guests at The Old Store have access to our communal reception area, cosy beamed sitting room, light and bright dining room and our courtyard guest garden. Each of our seven bedrooms has its own unique features, comfy beds and modern shower rooms with locally made bathroom products, fluffy towels and robes, in-room televisions, wifi and refreshment trays. During your stay We personally welcome all guests to The Old Store with a pot of tea and a slice of cake, or a glass of wine for evening check ins.
