House on the slopes of "Ile aux Clouds"

Open and bright, «Parahi wasi» offers breathtaking views of the Andean Cordillera and the sacred mountain: "la viuda». Three large rooms, including two bedrooms, one with mezzanine designed as a cabin on top of a staircase of eucalyptus, a shower room -wc (hot water) and a kitchen open to the living room that offers another possibility of sleeping. 6 people can live there comfortably. The splendid terrace opens onto the spectacular view, the trees of the orchard plunged by hummingbirds. The fountains on the terrace are visited by red and blue tangaras. The house is surrounded by a large sloping garden, which leads to a small "chosa » to the straw roof of the paramo where the hammocks are installed. The earth bricks that make up the house keep it cool in the heat and warm after dark. Designed as a holiday home, "Parahi wasi» a little away from the village enjoys a rural tranquility, in front of a dirt road where you can see the men galloping to work in the fields. Kitchen, stove and oven, everything is designed for an exotic and relaxing retreat where you can choose to live at home or go on a tour. Clean linens and towels are changed at each visit. Breakfast is provided. The shower is hot, each room is closed by old doors. Juan, a peasant from Cahuasqui, a friend of the house, who speaks a little French, will take you on a tour of this orchard, which he takes care of, and will show you the plants of the region. On request, you can order the delicious local « locro », potato soup, and all kinds of Imbabura dishes. Possibility also of dishes for vegetarians.
