Welcome to your peaceful retreat on the outskirts of Minneapolis! This private basement suite is located in an owner-occupied home with a shared entrance. Your space is immediately accessible after descending 12 stairs, so guests must be comfortable navigating stairs. 🛏️ Suite Features: • Bedroom: Spacious room with a queen bed and a twin bed • Living Room: Relax with a comfortable couch and a futon (full-size bed) • Bathroom: Includes a shower and in-unit laundry • Kitchenette: Equipped with a toaster oven, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and all necessary dishes and utensils 🌙 Below-Ground Comfort: This suite is located beneath ground level, offering a quiet and cozy retreat. While natural light is limited, the space is thoughtfully lit with ample lighting throughout, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. 🪵 Unique Touches: Many of the wood furniture pieces in the suite are handmade by the owner, adding a personal and artistic touch to the space that guests truly appreciate. 🐾 Pet Policy: • No pets allowed • Service animals are welcome in accordance with local laws 🐱 About the Home: The upstairs is home to friendly cats, but they are completely separated from guest areas and will not access shared spaces during your stay. 🌳 Location Highlights: • $30–$40 Uber/Lyft ride to MSP Airport • 5-minute drive to downtown Minneapolis • 3-minute walk to expansive public trails for walking and biking • West End shops with dining, shopping, and entertainment are within walking distance • Public transportation is just 3 blocks away • The ice cream truck stops directly in front of the house on Thursday evenings! • Two sit-on-top kayaks available for rent—perfect for exploring nearby lakes and rivers • Enjoy peaceful surroundings with deer and wildlife often wandering through the yard Guest access Guests will access the home through a shared porch door and self check-in. The door to the basement and listed space is immediately inside the porch so guests will not have to travel through the owners space (except the porch) to access the listed space. There is a shared patio with a propane fire dining table, lounge chairs, yard space, and grilling options outback near the listing entrance. (weather permitting). Other shared spaces available upon request are full kitchen, and office with printing/copy capabilities. Other things to note The upstairs is owner occupied and clean cat friendly. The shared porch entrance to the listed space is completely blocked off and inaccesible to the resident kitties. 12 steps are required to enter the space. There is a handrail and the stairs have grip tape for safety. I am available on a limited basis to provide transportation to/from airport and other local attractions. If you would like transport just ask and I'll do my best to accommodate and assist!
