Wester Byre, Uist’s stunning West coast

Located in a quiet corner of a traditional working croft. Stone byre newly converted to a very high standard with views over Loch Paible and the Atlantic Ocean. Easy access to Machair and deserted white sand beaches. Riding available. Enjoy peace and quiet with every comfort in well proportioned converted byre. Suitable for wheelchair access. Open views to Monarch Islands in the West and North over our croft land on which we keep Highland cattle and Hebridean sheep. A little piece of paradise. The space The Wester Byre is ideally set up for 2-4 people. The bedroom has 2 single beds that can be put together as a super-king size with a comfortable mattress topper. In the open plan living area the large sofa opens up as a double bed. Guest access The Byre is located on a working Croft. We encourage our guest to see how life is still lived in this traditional way and meet the ancient local breeds. However, it is a working Croft so care must be taken around machinery and livestock. The access to the Byre is isolated from the working buildings so access is safe. Other things to note Close to stunningly beautiful white sand beaches, (along which horse riding from the croft is available),and centrally located, providing guests with a comfortable base and easy access by two short ferries to the entire Outer Hebrides islands from Berneray, Harris and Lewis to the north, to South Uist, Eriskay and Barra to the south, not forgetting the many hidden gems and secrets of North Uist, and that Wester Byre is less than half an hour from the ferry to the mainland.
