Tram stop right outside, main station in 10 minutes. A quiet, honest place for a comfortable home base in Zürich. The space The apartment has two bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, and a small balcony. The larger bedroom serves as a combined workspace and sleeping area: it has a proper desk for working from home and a sofa bed – 160×200 cm when extended, comfortable for two. The second bedroom is fitted with built-in wardrobes and a 160×200 cm bed, giving you generous storage and a proper night's rest. The apartment gets plenty of natural light throughout the day – shutters on the windows let you control the light and ensure a dark, restful sleep at night. Heating is via radiators, warm and reliable in winter. Fast Wi-Fi is available throughout the apartment, well suited for working from home. The living room is furnished for relaxing. The kitchen is fully equipped: stove, fridge, kettle, coffee maker, pots, pans, and everything needed for cooking. The bathroom has a shower and washing machine. The small balcony is ideal for fresh air – smoking is permitted there only. The street itself is quiet and residential. Worth mentioning: there's a church right behind the building – church bells during the day are part of the neighbourhood sound. Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs. That said, the location is genuinely convenient. Lindenplatz is just a two-minute walk away: a Turkish greengrocer with fresh fruit and vegetables, a large Migros supermarket, Denner, Coop, a pharmacy, and a weekly Saturday morning market. Everything you need for daily life, without getting in a car or tram. Please note: the apartment is on the second floor with no lift. Good to know if you're travelling with heavy luggage. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire apartment all rooms, the kitchen, bathroom, balcony, and washing machine. There are no locked or shared areas. Check-in is self-guided via a key box. You'll receive the access code and full arrival instructions 24 hours before your check-in. No need to coordinate arrival times come when it suits you. Other things to note A few things worth knowing before you book: The apartment is on the second floor with no lift. If you're travelling with heavy luggage, please keep this in mind. There is a church directly behind the building. Church bells can be heard during the day and on Sunday mornings. Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs. Smoking is only permitted on the balcony. Please close the balcony door while smoking to prevent smoke from entering the apartment. An ashtray is provided. Guests found smoking inside will be charged a cleaning fee of CHF 850. This is a residential building with neighbours. Quiet hours are from 22:00 to 07:00, and on Sundays throughout the day. We ask all guests to be mindful of noise levels. There is no TV in the apartment. Fast Wi-Fi is available throughout. A shared washing machine is available in the basement. One wash costs CHF 1.20, payable with 20-centime coins. To get your money back, simply turn the dial back before the cycle starts. Please check the sign-up sheet before using the machine – if a slot is taken, choose another time. If you need change, the Post office in the Neumarkt building (same building as the Migros supermarket, first floor) can help with coins. There is no dryer – a drying rack is available in the apartment. The location is excellent for exploring Switzerland. Zürich Altstetten has its own S-Bahn station, a 10-minute walk from the apartment from there, Zürich main station is just 5 minutes by train, and the airport is reachable in around 20 minutes. Basel is about an hour away, Bern and Lucerne around 60–90 minutes. The Swiss rail network (SBB) is punctual, easy to use, and connects you to virtually anywhere in the country without needing a car. Minimum stay is 3 nights.
