Crystal Springs Inn (Amethyst Room)

Our Amethyst Room has a full bed, a SHARED bathroom, and a beautiful view of 100+ year old Douglas Fir trees. We are an Inn, so there will likely be other guests present in the common rooms (Media room, kitchen, dining area). We have other rooms listed here on Airbnb as well. This room is located on the 2nd floor. We have named our rooms after crystals and Amethyst is extremely beneficial to the mind and body, calming or stimulating as needed. In short, what doesn’t Amethyst do? The space This 1890 Victorian Farmhouse is conveniently located minutes off the i80 in Alta. (Just take the Crystal Springs exit and you'll find us easily!) Our common areas include a Media Room, Parlor, Kitchen/Dining room, and our famous front porch! Unfortunately we can no longer host your pet, we have a full time resident named Copper and he likes being the only dog around. When you rent the whole house we do allow pets (as Copper and his caretaker Samantha leave for the rental). If you’re still reading this, you should know that we are NOT a hotel, but rather a home. When you’re here you’re treated like family. We won’t bring you breakfast in bed, but we will welcome you to join our table. We have a Parlor with a piano and many board games, a Media Room with streaming and plenty of DVD movies to choose from. Our front porch is where we gather to have a cocktail or sweet tea and share stories and laughter. When weather permits, we gather around the fire pit instead. Our location is perfect for almost every outdoor adventure. Hiking, fishing (lakes and rivers), rafting, the PCT, boating, skiing & snowboarding, even rock climbing are all within 30 minutes of Alta. Some even start a morning hike right outside our front door! We are approximately one hour from the Reno or Sacramento Airports and 45 minutes from Truckee and a few minutes more to Lake Tahoe! Guest access Full access to the kitchen at all times, with supplied oils and spices - and storage space for your pantry food as well as an extra fridge for the cold stuff. Feel free to use the Media room (with tons of DVDs), parlor or kitchen at any time. During your stay Crystal Springs is our home so we are available at most times. Our evenings are typically spent on the front porch and socializing with neighbors. Our guests are welcome to join in. We do have a full-time care-taker (Samantha) and a super friendly pup named Copper. Other things to note We now have internet available, and we are in a great spot for cell reception, so if you want to tether that usually works. Each room has a television and a dvd player.
