The apartment is very quiet at the end of a small side street and was newly built in 2018. It is detached and has a separate entrance. A large, floor-to-ceiling panoramic window in the dining & living area allows a unique distance view of the deepest surrounding area, which you can also see from the balcony. (up to 70 km). In the large bathroom you will also find washing machine and dryer. The apartment is located at 430 m abovesea level in the district of Kommerscheidt, which belongs to Nideggen-Schmidt. The space In apartment 1 of a total of 7 apartments there is 1 bathroom with toilet and shower, washing machine and dryer including towels. In addition, there is another toilet with a hand sink in the apartment. Underfloor heating, supplied by environmentally friendly geothermal energy in combination with photovoltaics, supplies the entire apartment with heat. The sleeping options consist of a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. Bed linens and towels as well as shower towels are of course included in the price. In addition, you have access to a common room where you will find other everyday appliances. This includes a vacuum cleaner, ironing board, iron & common cleaning supplies, dishcloths and kitchen towels for the household. In our fully equipped kitchen you will find everything you need for cooking. A stove with ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer combination, microwave, oven, coffee maker, blender, toaster, kettle are available for you. Free Wi-Fi is of course also available as well as satellite TV & a HIFI stereo system. Our facility has 3 charging stations, which can be used for a fee. If you arrive by motorbike, we will be happy to provide you with our garage. The same applies to your eBikes. On our over 4000 square meter property, there is enough space to play and romp, for example on the playground, which your children are welcome to use. Should there be bad weather, there are plenty of books or games in the common room that you can borrow. In addition, you can help yourself to various hygiene items if you have forgotten your own. For the very younger guests, there is also a travel bed and high chair on request. Feel free to contact us. We also offer a shuttle service to Nideggen-Brück train station on request if you want to arrive or leave by Rurtalbahn. The Eifel National Park and Lake Rursee are nearby excursion destinations. There are also countless leisure activities in the region, such as hiking, cycling, boat trips on Lake Rur, kayak tours, quad tours, e-bike rental, a high ropes course, play area for children, guided tours through the Eifel National Park, swimming pools, outdoor pools and much more. Within the village of Schmidt there are shops for daily needs, 2 bakeries, a supermarket, a post office, a gas station, a pharmacy, but also a doctor (general practitioner) and a dentist are there. Larger purchases can be done in Heimbach or in Nideggen, which are about a 10-minute drive away. Three restaurants offer the opportunity to get a good dinner in the immediate vicinity after an exciting hiking or excursion day, as long as your own kitchen should stay cold. Two banks (Sparkasse and Volksbank) are located in the village. Guest access You have access to a large complex with several barbecue facilities and a large fire pit to enjoy the evenings overlooking the valley. Likewise, we have a room with a wide selection of books on different topics, games and various hygiene items, should you have forgotten something. If you want, you can stock up on a Senseo coffee machine or enjoy a drink from a large selection of our fully automatic coffee machine. In addition, all guests have the opportunity to load their electric vehicle at one of our charging stations. Other things to note If you plan to come with a pet, we will charge a €15.00 surcharge per night per animal. We ask you to pay this in cash in cash with us on arrival.
