2 Bedroom 1 Bath Riverfront with seasonal river access included The space Our riverfront cabin is newly remodeled with comfort in mind. We have Comcast xfinity High Speed WIFI with smart TV, and when you turn it off you can walk to the deck and watch osprey fishing in the river. The full cook's kitchen has new stainless steel appliances including oven, dishwasher, microwave, blender, food processor, washer & dryer. The handicapped access bathroom has an extra large seated shower. Our 2 bedrooms each have queen bed, perfect for 2 couples or a family with children. We supply both foam and feather pillows, take your pick! There are 2 sofas in the living room, one pulls out into a bed and comes with extra linens. The large deck overlooks the river with a gas grill for entertaining and outdoor dining for 6. We have a natural meadow area between the redwoods and river with an outdoor firepit seating 6. The cabin comes with parking for 4 cars. Seasonal river access stairs are available in May. It is shared with the house next door to the west and located behind that home. We supply floating devices and chairs to carry to the river in the cabinet below the entry walkway. The bank of the river is very steep, and these stairs are difficult to negotiate for people with knee or hip problems. While the cabin is handicap friendly, the river access slope is not. There is a private island across a very shallow channel, with deeper river water on the other side. The property line extends 1/2 way onto an island in the middle of the Russian River in Sonoma wine country . Six miles west is the the Sonoma coast with beautiful pristine beaches if you get tired of playing in fresh water! In the rainy season our lower yard is on a floodplain, occasionally you will not be able to use the lower yard because rainfall causes the river to top her banks. The views from the cabin are fantastic when this happens. Other things to note We are 7 miles from Old Growth Redwoods at Armstrong woods. These are rare creatures and a must see if you've never been.
