Fantastic cycling begins just outside the front door, and gorgeous hikes abound nearby. You can even walk with goats! The world's largest gem show and the Fourth Ave Street Fair are among many seasonal and year-round attractions. Designed by famous Arizona artist Ross Stefan, the Casita's artistic touches do not disappoint. The space This 900 sq ft adobe casita is nestled in a heavily treed mesquite bog in the Tanque Verde Valley. The neighborhood is peaceful and friendly, with the sounds of coyotes, donkeys, roosters, and horses. We do have occasional wildlife crossings. This area is a birdwatcher's paradise, including Vermillion Flycatchers, Hawks, Woodpeckers, bright red Cardinals, Crows, Ravens, and many more! A short walk takes you to the Tanque Verde wash, which often runs bank to bank during the monsoons. Location is everything. Enjoy a beautiful, peaceful setting outside the city, with downtown Tucson within approximately 20 minutes. Enjoy hiking, horseback riding, scenic drives, cycling, golf, restaurants, theatre, music, spelunking, and so much more. Guest access The Hosts live on the property in a separate house. If you see us in the courtyard with a bonfire, feel free to come and join us! A quaint courtyard with a table and chairs is nestled in the center of the casita, perfect for sipping morning coffee and birdwatching. We have 2 extremely friendly goats. Faun, the big Alpine goat, is quiet and loves to have his back scratched. Friend, the little goat, loves to have his head scratched, and you will sometimes spot him up in the trees. You are welcome to visit them. PLEASE make sure the gate is closed. There is a horseshoe pit and cornhole available. Other things to note The Flor De Luna Casita is an adobe dwelling with unique features, including the shower. 2 small steps lead to a slight slope for the tub portion. There is no handrail, so please use care getting in and out.
