This monitor-style barndominium sits on top of a hill with breathtaking views of the Teton Mountains and surrounding farmland. Important Arrival Note As you enter the property, you will pass a large home on the west side. That is the main house—a separate Airbnb and strictly off-limits to barn guests. Your rental is the barn on the hill to the east. Finding the Entrance • Drive past the main home. • Enter the field just beyond the second tree. • Follow the path up to the barn. • The entrance is the black door on the north side. Door Code Tips If the code doesn’t work, pull the door toward you firmly and re-enter the code. This helps the lock engage properly. ⸻ General House Rules & Notes • Keep the thermostat set to 70°F at all times. The home is heated with propane, and this helps manage energy use efficiently. • Keep all windows closed. The HVAC system depends on a sealed environment to operate properly. • No outdoor fires. The area is extremely dry in July and August—fire danger is high. • Wear shoes when walking outside. The property is still under development and may have hazards. • Keep the utility room door closed. It’s located just before the main leather couch and is for maintenance only. ⸻ Access & Parking Instructions There is no paved driveway. Please use the vehicle path through the field: • Cars: Drive through the field and enter the concrete driveway at the center of the barn to avoid scraping. • Trucks/SUVs: Feel free to enter and park anywhere along the field path. • RVs/Trailers: There is plenty of space. Power and water hookups are located on the barn exterior. Important: Please avoid hitting the well and water spout located about two-thirds down the drive. It’s visible but easy to overlook. ⸻ Outdoor Space • Outdoor seating is available for 5 people. • Bring extra rocking chairs or camp chairs if you have a larger group or want to enjoy the outdoors comfortably. ⸻ Local Essentials • Walmart – 13 minutes (Rexburg) • Broulim’s Grocery Store – 13 minutes (Rexburg) • Rexburg & BYU–Idaho – 20 minutes ⸻ Scenic Walks & Wildlife There’s a 45-minute round-trip walk to the Teton River Bridge (you can find it on Google Maps). It’s peaceful and scenic—you may spot deer, elk, hawks, eagles, or even a moose. ⸻ Fishing & River Adventures This area is world-famous for fly fishing. The Teton River Bridge is a great local fishing spot. There are also local river guide companies that will take you to crystal-clear mountain rivers full of fish and wildlife. Upon request, I can share a list of 6 great fishing spots nearby. ⸻ Nearby Attractions • St. Anthony Sand Dunes – 20 min • Island Park, Mesa Falls, Egin Lakes – 30–60 min • Heise & Astoria Hot Springs – ~1 hr • Yellowstone (West Entrance) – ~1 hr 15 min • Grand Targhee & Kelly Canyon Ski Resorts – ~45 min • Teton Lakes (cross-country skiing) – ~20 min • City of Rocks National Reserve – 1.5 hr ⸻ Recommended Restaurants (within 30 minutes) • El Jaliciense – Mexican (St. Anthony) • Big Jud’s – Burgers & shakes (Rexburg) • The Hickory – BBQ & burgers (Rexburg) • Fresco Kitchen & Grill – Modern American (Rexburg) • Red Rabbit Grill – Breakfast through dinner (Rexburg) • Paragon – Upscale dining (Rexburg) ⸻ We’re excited to host you at Teton Hideaway. Other things to note Other Things to Note • Trash day is Thursday. Please roll the bin to the curb Thursday evening. If the trash is full and not taken out, a $50 fee may apply for cleanup before the next guest. If you miss trash day, please help us by hauling away excess garbage. • Water is the enemy of wood floors. Please clean up any spills or wet spots immediately to help protect the flooring. • Winter weather can bring strong winds and deep snow. Please message us ahead of your arrival time so we can make sure the property is ready. If the wind is blowing hard, be patient—we’ll get you in safely. • This Airbnb is located behind a large monitor-style barn. It’s newly finished and still has a few projects in progress like landscaping. • The upstairs bunk bed has a step stool instead of a ladder—please be careful. • There’s a utility room near the leather couch. Please keep the door closed. • You’ll pass a large home on your way in—this is a separate Airbnb and is off-limits. • There’s no paved driveway. Drive through the field and enter on the concrete pad in the middle of the barn. • Watch for the water spigot about two-thirds down the driveway. • Wear shoes outside—some construction materials may still be around. • No outdoor fires, especially in summer—it gets very dry. • Keep windows closed. The heating/cooling system runs on propane and works best with windows shut. • Keep the thermostat set to 70°F at all times. • We’re always happy to help—message us anytime through Airbnb if you need anything. • Wi-Fi network: tetonhideaway Password: tetonhideaway
