Charming 19th century cottage, 5 minutes from Nyköping

Picturesque 19th century cottage in a rural setting about 5 km outside Nyköping, just over 8 km from Skavsta Airport. Child-friendly scenic area right along Sörmlandsleden. Close to both nice swimming areas and several interesting excursion destinations. Dry toilet and shower are located outdoors. The space In our guest house, you live close to both nature and the family, but still in a separate house where you can get privacy if desired. The cottage has an open floor plan on the ground floor with a living room and a simpler kitchen, with fridge/freezer, stove, oven and microwave. Upstairs, there is a sleeping loft with a smaller double bed with room for 1-2 people, as well as an additional 2 people in fold-out tent beds. (The sofa on the ground floor is also a bed and can accommodate an additional 1-2 people if needed.) There is no running water. The sink is instead under the roof out on the veranda. Dry toilet with sink is available in the outhouse on the property and a private outdoor shower is available next to the cabin. Water jugs are filled as needed at the main building. In the garden, there is a barbecue area that guests are welcome to use, as well as a cozy patio with evening sun in the forest behind the cottage. A simple breakfast for the first morning is prepared in the cottage's refrigerator upon arrival. The selection may vary slightly but usually consists of bread, butter, cheese, ham, eggs, juice, fruit, tea and coffee. Other food items can be ordered in advance at an extra cost, at least three days before arrival. Guest access In front of the big house, there is a large gravel parking lot where guests can park freely. (However, please keep in mind that it is sometimes shared by our private guests/neighbors or that we need to get out or in with our cars.) In the garden, there is a barbecue area that guests are welcome to use, as well as a cozy patio with evening sun in the forest edge behind the cottage. There is a playhouse with accessories that guests with children are welcome to use. Guests have their own outdoor shower next to the cabin. Other things to note Public transport is inadequate along the country road where the cottage is located. If you don't have your own car, a bicycle can be a good alternative. We are happy to help you book bicycles that the tourist office rents out.
