The Cowhouse @ Willow Cottage, Naas

A charming, rustic 1 bedroom cottage. The set on the banks of the Grand Canal surrounded by farmland but only 4 miles/7kms by road or a 1 hour walk on the canal through lovely country side into Kildare's largest town, Naas. Self contained, the cottage has a comfortable living/kitchen area with lofted reading area. The cosy bedroom has an antique wrought iron double bed with en suite bathroom . The private garden backs onto open countryside - enjoy a stroll on the canal bank along farmland. The space The cottage is set on its own garden on the banks of a quiet section of the Grand Canal. It is surrounded on 2 sides by farmland and is adjacent to our own house but with good privacy. You can walk from the gate of the cottage on the canal into the large town of Naas - a lovely 1 hour walk through the country side. Indoors, the main living room has a comfortable large couch, full kitchen area with gas cooker, fridge, microwave, kettle and plenty of storage space. There is a cosy solid fuel stove which you are welcome to use - fuel can easily be purchased locally.( most guests burn briquettes which are available at most service stations).There is a washing machine and a covered clothes drying area outside. A stairs in the main living room leads to a lofted area ideal for reading and relaxing. We provide free WIFI The cottage is a self catering stay and is equipped to enable our guests to self cater in style. There are plenty of grocery stores within a short drive. The bedroom has a double bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe and bathroom en suite with shower, toilet and hand basin. The lane on the canal leads to the gate of the cottage with a drive way and parking space outside. The garden is private and is a lovely sunny area where you can sit out and enjoy a cup of coffee. You can walk the canal bank outside your gate past farmland and fields and maybe meet a family of swans or ducks and see plenty of other wildlife. Guest access You have full access to the cottage, its garden and its own gated entrance and drive way. Other things to note Check in time is from 17.00hrs and check out is 11am. Unfortunately we cannot change or extend those times during the current Covid 19 pandemic for reasons of guest safety. We are committed to ensure thorough covid specific cleaning and ventilation process and require adequate time between guests to ensure our cottage is a covid safe space. Please note that this is a quiet and secluded rural location.
