Cozy Country Guest House

This is a completely furnished living space that is part of my shop. It is quite country living just 12 miles from Emporia. Amenities included: 1 bedroom with king bed, and dresser space. Two loveseat sofas in living room that fold out into single beds. Roku smart TV. WIFI. Completely stocked kitchen. Washer and dryer. Covered Porch with gas grill, pellet smoker and fire pit. Kayaks, paddle boat, fishing gear, disc golf baskets, corn hole boards, and basketball goal. Stocked pond with dock. The space This space is located adjacent to my house. It is a one bedroom living space that has two single sofa beds in the living room. It is part of my work shop. My family previously lived in it while building my house years ago. I have used it as a guest house for company and a place to store my hunting supplies and display wildlife mounts. Therefore it has a hunting/cabin theme for the décor. There is a nice covered porch attached that makes for nice outside entertainment area. We have a stocked 1 acre pond with a dock on site, and the 60 acre Lyon County State Fishing Lake is 2 miles away. Guest access You and your guests are welcome to fish the pond and use the kayaks and paddle boat. There are life jackets and some fishing rods and tackle on the porch. There is also a 60 acre public state fishing lake 2 miles up the road to the north. There is a set of corn hole boards and bags on the porch. The basketball goal on the north side of the barn is adjustable and the ball is on the base of the goal stand. There is a gas grill, a charcoal grill, and a pellet smoker on the porch. All should be ready for use. The stereo system is already on ready for Bluetooth connection. It will show up as Denon on your blootooth. Please keep the volume at a reasonable level if you decide to use it. The speakers are both inside and outside. You are welcome to have a fire in the fire pit so long as it is not too windy or dry. There is wood already in the pit and a pile of more wood/brush down by the pond on the west end. There are fire starting blocks and lighters in the cabinet above the microwave. There is also some marshmallow/hotdog roasting sticks hanging on one of the porch posts. Make yourself at home and enjoy your stay! Other things to note We do have a yellow Labrador and an outside cat on our property. You probably wont see much of the cat. "Buddy" our 8 yr old lab will probably bark upon your arrival, but is totally harmless and very friendly. He also spends quite a bit of time inside the house with us. If he is at all a concern for our guests we can keep him inside.
