The space The Retreat is located in the west wing of The House on the Hill. Enter a private haven with its own entrance, hall, bedroom, bathroom, lounge/dining room & a west-facing courtyard/lawn where wallabies and bettongs graze at dusk. The House on the Hill embodies ‘Japandi’ aesthetics, and The Retreat carries this essence: organic materials, natural fibres, wood, wool, stone, and original artworks. Nothing is standard here—only beauty, harmony, and thoughtful design await. This plus a septic system means soaps, shampoo, etc must be ‘septic safe’ products. Please ask if you’re unsure. We’re getting good at identifying what to leave in the suitcase, what to hang in the shower. Thank you.🌿 Additionally, we drink and bathe in rain water collected.
