Quiet oasis, women only house. Minutes to downtown, Ottawa University, and NRC, in quiet, safe, neighbourhood, 2 blocks to the river with path for biking, sking and walking. Spacious bedroom with private ensuite bathroom; tub, and shower. Queen bed, plenty of light. Desk & reading chair. My home at this time only open to long term 1-6 month rentals. I will help you accomplish what you've come to Ottawa to do - study or work. As world traveler myself, my household thrives on diversity! The space Bright, spacious bungalow with porches and gardens which guests are welcome to use. Kitchen is well equipped with copious cooking equipment and dishwasher. BBQ for guests use in summer. You will be joining me in my comfortable and attractive home in the centre area of Ottawa. You may share the house with me and possibly another guest, who may be renting a smaller upstairs bedroom. I see clients in my home some afternoons during the week. I ask guests to be quiet in the house at this time, and not use the kitchen. My home is ideally suited to people who come for work or studies and are occupied at their workplace/or school during the day. I aim to create a welcoming space - clean, comfortable, hospitable, and open to sharing and learning from you and the other people who pass through my home. I lead a very active life, but really enjoy connecting with new people and sharing spirited conversations about the fascinating adventure of living. I'm an enthusiastic arts and culture buffs and can help you find your way around that scene in Ottawa. I'm a gardener and beekeeper, and in summer you're welcome to join me in the garden to learn, or help, and certainly to enjoy the vegetables and herbs in season. Flowers abound, and often grace the dining room or your bedside table. Guest access Guests can use the common space - kitchen, dining room, living rooms off the kitchen, garden and porches. Coffee, tea available any time. During your stay Myself or a family member will be available to greet you when you arrive and help you get aquatinted with the house. I am available to help you find your way around the city, make suggestions for places to eat, fun things to do in the city, and for the various things you will want to access while visiting Ottawa. Tourist and transportation information available at the house. Other things to note Guest have the use of the kitchen, dining room, and living room. If you are traveling with children or another couple there is another smaller bedroom with comfortable double bed on an up level for rent as well. You can book both together from mid-May to mid-October.
