Enjoy your stay in Ripon's first licensed Airbnb on the 2nd floor of our Queen Anne Victorian built in 1903. Queen bed. Private bath. Air-conditioning. Capacity: 2. A pre-approved canine companion can stay for $20/night. Breakfast can be ordered for $14/person. The space We are a black and white couple that has visited 50 countries. Our house decor reflects our travel, as does our cooking. If you love ethnic foods from around the world, we can talk about cooking or teach you some of our favorite dishes: Nepalese dhal bhat, Indian idlis and sambar, Vietnamese pho, Malaysian laksa, and Trinidadian curry crab and dumplings are some examples. Many guests visit our area's natural food producers to organize for their year's supply of meat to be delivered to their home. Pastured bison, beef, pigs, lamb are all within twenty minutes of our house, along with farmer's markets and CSAs. Beautiful Green Lake, Wisconsin's deepest lake that is uniquely home to both a cold water and a warm water fishery, is six miles down the road. Boat rental and jet ski rental is available from several resorts, as well as fishing guides. We have a canoe you are free to use. In the winter, we have nicely groomed cross-country ski trials and snow shoeing opportunities within minutes of the house. When snow is not on the ground, we have bike trails that radiate for miles and country roads which are also pleasant to bike on. Ripon is a beautiful historic town (birthplace of the Republican Party - Abraham Lincoln was the first Republican president) with a well-preserved downtown, tasty eateries, and a 150-year old college, all within four blocks from our home. Oshkosh, known as Wisconsin's City of Events, is 18 miles down the road, and, among other events, hosts the Experimental Aircraft Association gathering, the largest of its kind in the world, every summer for ten days. A must-visit restaurant named J's Barbeque lies four blocks away in the historic downtown. A night out here in Ripon is quite affordable. Guest access Living Room. Kitchen. Yard. Grill. During your stay We are willing to interact with you to the point your needs are met. If that means dinner, drinks, ping pong, board games, and a tour of the area together (and we are available!), we would love to. If that means our only interaction is to greet you when you arrive, that is also fine. If you would like ballroom dance lessons, we can provide those for a reasonable fee. Other things to note We are a mixed-race couple with two children and a puppy. We will be living in the house with you. Other guests may also be here at the same time as we have more than one listing, plus many friends from around the world and the states who visit. This is a lively house, but we all try to be quiet after 10:00pm.
