Description
Our 200 year old Bakery once served the local hamlet and hides behind our home on the edge of a quintessentially English village. A rustic bread oven and exposed beams whisper tales of the building's past. By preserving its original character and adding modern comforts such as a wood burning stove and four poster bed, it offers a truly unique stay. The village shop and local pubs serve excellent food. Historic Nantwich, Chester, The Potteries, Trentham Gardens and Bridgemere are all nearby. The space The Old Bakery is a very small and rustic 200 year old building that was once the home of the baker's family and his bakery. Tucked in behind our home, the main feature is the baker's oven that still stands in the kitchen, though the upper chimney disappeared a long time ago. From the small courtyard, enter into the dining kitchen with gas cooker, dishwasher and microwave oven. The sitting room is beside the kitchen and the stairway takes you up to the bedrooms. Being a traditionally built family cottage, access to the single bedroom (ideal for a child) is via the main double bedroom. There is a door separating the two bedrooms but you may want to bear this in mind. The bathroom is also accessed the same way. Guest access The little courtyard has a table and chairs for your use. You also have use of part of the garden and access to a wild wooded area down beyond the fence. Please be aware and keep children in view as the septic tank towards the upper right side of the spinney is out of bounds.
