The space TWICE UPON A LAKE SLEEPS: 6 BEDROOMS: 2 BATHROOMS: 1 *No Wake Lake (Crooked Lake) Twice Upon a Lake gives you double the lake experience with the property facing Crooked Lake. Meyer Lake is on the backside. Twice Upon a Lake has a rowboat with a boat launch a quarter mile away if you want to bring a boat! The cabin sleeps 6 and offers beautiful waterfront views for the entire family. Guest access Freshwater Vacation Rentals will email your arrival/departure instructions with door/lock box code. You will let yourselves in and out. Other things to note FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Air Conditioning: Mini Split in dining room will cool the main floor living spaces ATV's: ATV's are not allowed for use on the property. Bathrooms: Bathroom #1: Full Bath Beach/Swimming: You can swim, there is not a sandy beachfront, more woodland ground. Swimming is only available facing the front of the property, best to swim from dock to the left. Bedroom Configurations: Main Level Bedroom #1: Primary- Queen Lower Level Bedroom #2: Twin/ Twin bunk Twin/ Full bunk Boats: There is a Rowboat and 2 single person kayaks!! (Available Memorial through Labor Day) Please note Crooked Lake is a No Wake Lake. Boat Launch: Straight across the lake (1/4 mile) on Crooked Lake. Cable: No traditional cable, but the property has Starlink. Cell Phone Service: T-Mobile, along with other major carriers work well. Coffee Maker: Yes, there are 12 cup filters, as well as a French Press. Distances: Grayling: 52 minutes (45 miles) Gaylord: 1 hr. and 11 min (64 miles) Petoskey: 1 hr. and 52 min (101 miles) Traverse City: 1 hr. and 54 min (95 miles) Mackinaw City: 1 hr. and 47 min (109 miles) Dock: Yes, to the left of the property (short walk along the waterfront). Memorial day to Labor day Drinking Water: There is well water with a Brita Filter in the fridge. Drugs/Smoking/Fireworks: Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city. Fireplace: Yes (wood burning) Fire-pit: Yes Fishing: Yes, there is an abundance of Perch, Bass, and Pike. Fishing License: A license is required to fish in Michigan. Golf: Cedar Valley Golf Club: 20 minutes (15 miles) Eagle Ridge Golf Course: 20 minutes (18 miles) Grill: Propane grill Grocery Store: Curran EZ Mart (inside BP), 2541 M-65, Curran, MI 48728 Fairview Food Market, 1508 N Abbe Rd, Fairview, MI 48621 Handicap Friendly: No Heat: There is a Ceramic Heater that is manual (thermostat doesn't control the heat). Internet/WIFI: Starlink now at 200 Mbps Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and bath towels. Parking: Can park two cars comfortably. Pets: Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $75/per pet for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept 2 dogs, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the cabin. Plus, if you allow them on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to sleep on. Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we’ll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Plus, if the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum. Generally, dogs love the water and places to explore. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed. Privacy: Neighbors are within view. Snowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground. Seniors: Welcome! Swimming: Not traditional swimming. Please bring your water shoes. The bottom is murky. Televisions: There is a 55" Amazon TV on the main floor. Towels: All bath, kitchen, and beach towels will be provided during your stay! Washer and Dryer: Yes, detergent is provided. Wood: Yes, use hardwood for indoor use and pine for outdoor use.
