Other things to note ● We recommend having your own vehicle to get around and get to the area, as public transportation is limited. (But if you still plan to visit us without your own vehicle, here's how you can get there): 1. Travel directly to Pedernales: Take a bus from Santo Domingo at the Pedernales Terminal. 2. Or travel to Barahona: Take a bus from Santo Domingo (for example, with Caribe Tours) to Barahona. Once in Barahona, use a public bus (guagua) at the Pedernales Bus Terminal or a taxi to get here. 3. Hire local transport: From the town of Pedernales, there are two alternatives: 1. Hire a taxi service or a local guide for direct transfer to Playa La Cueva. 2. Opt for renting a vehicle at the Pedernales Rent Car, (this being the most convenient option).
