Mary Atkins at Southmoreland on the Plaza

You’ll be charmed by this adorable place to stay. The space Like Southmoreland's last three sets of owners, Mary Atkins was a teacher. Her bequest was the original endowment for Kansas City's art museum. A quiet soul, Mary would have enjoyed this cozy room with copper accents, queen-sized bed, private bath with tub/shower combo, and an intimate little deck. All rooms include a mini fridge, a private bathroom, a Smart TV with Hulu Live TV, and a Keurig coffee machine. This room is located on the third floor and must be accessed via stairs. Individual rooms will not have access to the kitchen during their stay, however, there is a microwave in the dining room for all guests. Guests also have access to the beautiful veranda overlooking the garden, the cozy parlor living area and wet bar on the main floor, as well as the dining room with an enhanced coffee bar. We have limited parking available in the driveway (14 spaces); please bring your most compact vehicle. There is typically street parking available as well. The House features sumptuous seating and contemporary ease making it a prime location to unwind. Between our harvest dining room, sunroom, veranda and outdoor patio you can host 28 guests for a stayover, and up to 40 guests for an onsite event. Contact management to plan your intimate family gathering, wedding, or corporate event. Guest access The Property features 24 hour secure access. Guest entrance doors and interior room doors are equipped with WiFi enabled locks set to a secure code unique to you during your stay. We want all guests to feel comfortable and enjoy their stay. We offer contactless check-in to allow you ease and flexibility for arrival. Other things to note *PARTIES - Southmoreland is a private facility, exclusively for guests only. No outside guests or parties allowed, without written permission. There will be a $700 fine for any unauthorized parties. *MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT - Guests must be at least 25 years old to book a Cozy in KC property. *SMOKING - is not permitted on the property. An additional cleaning fee of $250 will automatically be assessed if smoking occurs. *QUIET HOURS - Quiet hours are strictly from 10pm-8am. We request all guests be respectful of other guests and our neighbors. Guests who continue to be disruptive after 10pm will be asked to leave, and may be subject to penalty fees. *CHILDREN - No children under the age of 10, unless reserving all 14 rooms in a whole property booking. *PETS - We do not allow pets at this property. There is a $500 fine for any unauthorized pets. *CANCELLATION POLICY - Guests can receive a full refund minus processing fees (approximately 4%) if they cancel up to 5 days before check in. No refund will be provided if cancelling less than 5 days before check in. *RENTAL AGREEMENT - We require all guests to digitally sign a rental agreement outlining all house rules once booking is confirmed.
