⛰️Welcome to amazing Værøy. Here you will get an authentic experience of Lofoten, without the mass tourism. Enjoy the midnight sun, the northern lights and the mountains "for yourself". 🏡 In our «Home in Vågen» you will enjoy a quiet, central location. Our home is not brand new, but offers a comfortable stay, and is suitable for both families, friends' trips or if you need an "escape" away from it all. At our place you can enjoy the sun on the terrace until late in the evening ☀️ The space ℹ️ There are 4 bedrooms with space for 8. The house has a simple but comfortable standard with everything you need: a large kitchen, dining area, sofa with space for everyone, TV, laundry room with combi washer and dryer, bathroom with shower cabin, and large and green outdoor area with terrace and garden. Kitchen is well equipped. • Basement 💤 Bedroom 4: "master suite" with 1 double bed (140 width), and sofa group 🛁 Bathroom with shower cabin, toilet and washbasin 🧺 Laundry room 🚪Hallway • Outdoor area with plenty of space 🌳 perfect for late summer evenings around the fire pit ℹ️ Other • Bed linen and towels provided by the host ✅ • Baby bed on request 👶 🌊 Location • The property is ideally located within walking distance of the heliport and lighthouse, the ferry terminal, Værøy's old trading post, the "center" with a grocery store and café, and the small boat harbor. 📸 The starting point for the hike to "Håen" and "Nupen" is also in the immediate vicinity. Other things to note ⏱️ We understand that guests arrive and depart at different times. Early/late check-out is possible. We ask that guests contact us early with such inquiries so that we can best accommodate your wishes. 🏃‍➡️ Our home stretches three floors, and the bathroom is located in the basement. ♥️🏡 Our home is a home with all that entails. It is not perfect, it’s a home - not a hotel, children have lived in it and made their marks (♥️), but it has soul and we love it regardless. Are you looking for a place with perfect facilities that you expect from a four seasons, then we are probably not a match 😊 🚤 We are happy to arrange a boat trip around the island and transport to "Puinn Sand" (depending on weather conditions). ⛱️ We strongly recommend at least two nights on Værøy (but ideally 4-5) to get the chance to see everything the island has to offer and to get into the "island rhythm". ☀️Recommended activities: • Day 1: arrival. 🥾An easy hike up to "Håen", where you can see Værøy's most famous viewpoint. Then a swim in the Sørlandshagen, where there is a pebble beach. In the evening, you can take it easy after your journey with a short stroll to the lighthouse. On the way you pass both Værøy's old trading post, as well as the fishing area with fish stalls and activity on the quay. Worth a look to get an impression of the contrasts between how Værøy's business life was and is. • 👟 Day 2: full-day hike to "Måstad" - a fantastic trip to a part of Værøy that is no longer inhabited, but which can offer an insight into how the islanders lived in the past. On the return trip, a stop at Skarvollsanden is recommended. In the evening, you should take a trip to Nordlandshagen and watch the midnight sun. • Day 3: boat trip to "Puinn Sand" - one of the world's most beautiful beaches 🐚 • Day 4: summit hike to Nordlandsnupen.
