Tranquil Cornish Country Cabin

Nestled deep in the stunningly beautiful Cornish countryside, this insulated cabin offers a rare escape from the modern world. Crafted by its owner, every detail of the cabin reflects consideration and a deep connection to nature. With minimal road noise, you’ll find true peace in this secluded location. Free from light pollution, it offers great opportunities for stargazing. Here, time slows down, allowing you to disconnect from the rush of everyday life and reconnect with nature’s rhythm. The space The cabins central location makes it a great base for visiting either north or south coasts, Lands End, the Lizard and many spectacular sights, listed in the App's guidebook. Please do not hesitate to ask me for suggestions for places to see and things to do. Blinds are fitted to all windows for your full privacy, if required. There are 2 single beds, with single duvets, which can be pushed together to make a double if required, please advise your preference when booking. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, with electric oven, grill and hob. Under counter fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, cafetiere, condiments, olive oil, tea and coffee. Running hot and cold water to the kitchen and bathroom sinks, electric shower and bathroom extractor. All kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses provided. A good sized dining table and 2 chairs, suitable for homeworking if required. Towels and tea towels are provided. There are a selection of books, guides ,maps, games and a pack of cards. Outside seating area for 2. BBQ and fire drum. Please provide your own charcoal for the BBQ. A small amount of wood can be provided for the fire pit/drum. There is an outside tap for rinsing wetsuits, boards etc, and a line for drying. The private cabin is located 10 metres from the owners property, a restored granite cow barn. I'm not on site at all times, so please feel free to use the lawn and orchard spaces (including the hammock). I will respect your privacy when I'm around, but don't hesitate to ask any questions, in person or via the App. Large supermarkets in Helston and Camborne, both about 5 miles. Local, well stocked shop and post office in Praze, 2 miles, also a pasty shop/bakers ,pub and takeaway. There is an abundance of wildlife here. I often see Roe deer at the bottom of the field. An excellent spot for bird and bat watching. Guest access Parking is at the end of a short level drive way, with a 15 metre walk to the cabins entrance. Other things to note Please do not let my 2 cats into your cabin. They are friendly, but as they are outdoor farm cats, are best left outside. Thank you. Occasionally the cats can climb up onto the cabin roof, please don't be alarmed if they do. Being in a rural location, it gets very dark at night. The cabin does have an outside light, but it might be sensible to bring a torch or have your phone's torch handy when moving about at night. Pollen count can be high at certain times of the year so if you are a hay-fever sufferer it might be worth bringing medication. Some evenings the midges are out. There is insect repellent available in the cabin. Although every attempt has been made to make the cabin's immediate surrounding area level and pedestrian friendly, care should be taken when moving around. High heels and platform soles are probably not a good footwear choice.
