Description

Nestled in the rolling hills of the Brohmer and Helpter Berge bird sanctuary and the Klepelshagen nature reserve lies Gut Neuensund – a baroque estate dating back to 1780. Just 1.5 hours from Berlin, you’ll find absolute peace, historic buildings, a beautiful swimming lake, and untouched nature. You’ll be staying in a double room within the inspector’s house, part of a U-shaped estate that encloses a 4,500 sqm courtyard and spans 8 hectares of land. The space The spacious double room in the inspector’s house at Gut Neuensund offers a bedroom with one double bed and an additional single bed, which can also be used as a daybed, as well as a private bathroom. All rooms are equipped with traditional tiled stoves, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere on cooler days. Towels, bed linen, and toiletries are provided. In addition to your room, you’ll have access to the large shared kitchen, which is used jointly with the other guests staying in the inspector’s house. The kitchen is fully equipped and perfect for cooking together. Guests of the inspector’s house also have exclusive access to a guest garden behind the kitchen and two terraces. Right next to the house, you'll find a wood-fired outdoor sauna, which can be used for an additional fee. Breakfast and catering are available on request. In our small farm shop in the former cider house, you can purchase regional products and drinks. The baroque estate grounds cover a total of eight hectares and are open for you to enjoy: a 4,500 sqm courtyard with various seating areas, the historic Lenné park behind the manor house, a barbecue area, and a firepit with wood and charcoal provided on-site. A local contact person is available at any time should you have questions or need assistance. For retreats, seminars, off-sites, or private events, the large historic granary can be rented. It holds up to 150 people but is also ideal for smaller groups. Just 1.2 km from the estate lies Schmiedegrundsee – a beautiful swimming lake with a dock. Hiking trails begin right at the estate and lead through the surrounding nature reserve. The Szczecin Lagoon and the town of Ueckermünde are about 30 minutes away by car, as are many opportunities for birdwatching and nature exploration. Gut Neuensund is located within a protected natural area at the northernmost tip of the Uckermark region. From Berlin, it takes about 1.5 hours by car via the A20 (Strasburg exit). Arrival by train is also easy: the ICE stops in Pasewalk (25 minutes away), and the regional train stops in Jatznick (15 minutes away). A shuttle service can be arranged from either station upon request. Other things to note High-speed internet is available via a fiber-optic connection. Parking is free of charge. If you're traveling with a dog, we recommend booking our east wing apartment – it has a private entrance and is dog-friendly.
