An unusual Hay Barn conversion, retaining many original and unique features, but equipped with modern facilities. Ideally situated for stunning Anglesey beaches and Snowdonia. Hidden down a farm lane, yet a few minutes from amenities. There is an impressive open plan living area with large glazed gable, oak beams, vaulted ceiling and large original stone feature wall. There is a south facing courtyard garden. Two comfortable double beds, plus a single (with pull out bed upon advanced request). The space Ty Gwair is an unusual hay barn conversion once part of the grand estate of the nearby Stately Home, Plas Newydd. It is set, off the beaten track within beautiful farmland, close yet is only a few minutes from the A55 and the Britannia Bridge onto Anglesey. The recent barn conversion is comfortable and equipped with modern facilities. It is conveniently situated for the stunning Anglesey beaches, coastal path as well as the Eryri (Snowdonia). Amenities and restaurants are located only 10 minutes drive away in Menai Bridge, with the famous village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (Llanfair PG) even closer. It is set within farmland so will often have cows, horses or sheep in the adjoining field which is visible from the windows. You will be hosted by Kay, who along with her family has painstaking converted the building from a ruined agricultural barn to the comfortable bolthole it is today. The approach is along a third of a mile of farm track through quiet farmland. The track affords spectacular views of Snowdonia, which is a only short hop away over the Menai Straits. For thrill seekers the wild coast of Wales and the mountains are both nearby and offer some of the best opportunities for adventure in the UK. Both Zip World and Wyddfa (Snowdon) are short drives away. The barn is a convenient central location for both relaxation and adventure! The building is a beautifully, light renovated space with retains many original and unique features from the farm building that it was, such as beams, stonework and ventilation ducts. However it now offers modern comfort in a contemporary setting. It is comfortably appointed with modern accommodation. The first of three bedrooms is located on the ground floor and is accessible, it has a double bed, hanging space for clothes and views out across farmland. The second bedroom is located on the first floor and features a vaulted ceiling and original beams. It has a double bed and built in wardrobe. It has views over farmland and a door to a ‘Jack and Jill’ bathroom. The third bedroom has a single bed with occasional pull out single bed stored under it. It has a small built-in wardrobe and a door to the ‘Jack and Jill’ bathroom. The room looks out over neighbouring traditional stone buildings. The upstairs bathroom features a bathroom suite with a shower over the bath. There is a downstairs bathroom with large walk in shower. There are beds to accommodate five guests, however a pull out bed would be suitable for a child or possibly a sixth guest. The impressive open plan living area has a large glazed gable, oak beams, vaulted ceiling and large stone feature wall that was part of the original barn. French doors open onto a warm south facing patio garden. The living area has a table and chairs and comfortable seating to relax and read or watch TV. At the other side of this open plan space is the kitchen which is well equipped. There is an undercounted fridge, but please note there is no freezer. The building is heated by a Ground Source Heat Pump with underfloor heating throughout. It is thermally efficient, making use of natural materials where possible including sheepswool insulation. The building is approached along a level pathway and is has a ramped level access to the French Doors, making it accessible. In addition there is a bedroom and walk in shower on the ground floor. The property has Wifi Access and an EV Charger can be made available. Towels and bedding are provided along with basic kitchen essential. Please note that the property is self-catering and also that Pets are not permitted at the property. Guest access You will have full use of the property, however we do live next door in the adjoining part of the building. You will have the exclusive use of the patio garden. Other things to note There are two friendly cats who may wish to come and say hello. For this reason we are unable to accept guest with pets. Please also note that as the building is part of an old farm there are other people living and staying in the neighbouring farm buildings. We are very happy to host families with young children or infants, however please note that we do not have a baby cot and there is not stair gate.
