 In the heart of Dominica sits a world heritage site ‘Morne Trois Pitons National Park’ and just beyond the northeastern foothills of the Morne Trois Pitons mountain, lies a quaint community which goes by the name of Fond Melle. Villa Le Den sits on an acre of land on the Waitukubuli National trail surrounded by several fruit trees, tropical wildlife and serene beauty. ‘Le Den’ was designed as a modern, tropical style cabin residence for not only travelers but anyone seeking to find peace and rejuvenation. It’s spacious and open floor plan promotes flow and ease of movement. This Villa is fully furnished and each suite is complemented with a bathroom. The Emerald Suite, named after Emerald Pool… which is only 10 minutes higher up on the trail, is the primary suite, located on the western side of the Villa and also outfitted with wooden furnishings, as well as a king size bed. In the center of the Villa sits the kitchen which is also stocked with kitchen equipment, has a large stainless steel fridge, a 5 burner stainless steel stove and a double sink. Over the kitchen island hangs a wooden light fixture which is a custom and carefully crafted art piece done by the builder and owner of the home in hopes to continue the theme of nature inside the home. Just off the kitchen area is an open-concept living and dining space. The Veranda also has ample space to dine, stretch out and enjoy the mountain views whilst overlooking the land full of fruit trees. There are orange, grapefruit, coconut, soursop, morninga and papaya trees throughout the property. Dominica has earned the title ‘The Nature Island of the Caribbean’ given its sustained and endless treasures of nature and undoubted beauty. It’s tropical mountains are surely ecosystems and are hotspots of biodiversity and endemism. The lush mountains and dense forest awaits adventure seekers to discover everything from its hiking trails to sulfur springs, bird watching, waterfalls, rivers and so much more.
