This is an earth-house. Built between two massive granite boulders and dug into the mountain side. Utilizing the coolness of the mountain earth. Hollowed logs and branches found on the construction site have been turned into light sconces and a bathroom sink. Parking /must back into the parking space. follow arrival instructions so you don't end up at the wrong house. Home Designed and sculpted by known Carmel California artist Kris Thomas Blichfeldt. This has been a 3 and 1/2 year project of hard labor and a lot of love. No Hollywood set design shortcts here. this is all sculpted with cement clay rock and original giant 1000 ton boulders. All mortar and concrete was mixed with sand from the banks of lake Isabella. Guest access you have use of 2 acres with a small private trail. and then 100 acres of forestry land. lake is 3/4 of a mile away. there are two other houses hundred yards away, no trespassing there. This is the last house on a short dirt road. drive to the end of the road and there's a giant turn around, so then you can park forward into the parking space or you can back in. Other things to note king bed is a new matress, extra beds are 2 twin inflatables.. All wheel drive is recommended for the dirt road during rainy weather. People must walk the trail to the house, 135 foot path down the mountain side, it is pretty steep. Person would need to be in decent shape to make this hike back-and-forth with groceries. Children must be over five years old to stay here. Suggestion do not bring a large ice chest. One dog can be here no more than that, and it must stay on its leash anywhere outside, including the dirt roads ,there are no fences between properties dog seen off their leash. People will lose their reservation and not be refunded. Cell phone reception is great around here. There is a large portable heater, which will raise the temperature in the house 10 to 20° - no bringing your own extra heater or AC unit or it will blow the main circuit breaker and you'll be out without power for the rest of your stay. will give the guests verbal instructions on how to use this custom made home upon arrival .Sorry but absolutely no fires or propane fire pits. Parking requires either driving an extra 100 yards to a turn around or backing into the space. food garbage must be put in trash outside daily to keep ants from coming in house. And never left in garbage bags outside the house they will get instantly ripped into by the large black birds and scattered across Mountainside. Must be 22 years old to rent. No dirt bikes or of road toys on thies roads.
