Welcome to the wellness oasis - Guesthouse Shimba African flair, wellness & pure nature - in the middle of the Hunsrück - directly on the Middle Rhine Valley Our guest house Shimba is a place to relax, breathe and discover – named after the Swahili word for "farm" or "animal stable". Each of the four individually designed rooms is dedicated to an African wild animal and furnished with a lot of attention to detail. Welcome to the top floor of our Shimba guest house! Here you will find a lovingly designed apartment with two charming bedrooms, two private bathrooms, a small kitchen for self-catering and two balconies with stunning views of nature. 🐘 "Tembo" room – large, cozy & with balcony The heart of the apartment is the spacious Tembo room, named after the Swahili word for elephant. Here you will sleep royally in the large, comfortable double bed, surrounded by ornate elephant pictures, sculptures and original paintings. A private large balcony with a view invites you to breakfast in the sun or a sundowner in the evening quiet. 🐒 "Sokwe" room – small, fine & green The second bedroom – the Sokwe room – is smaller, but at least as charming: inspired by the chimpanzee, of course, decorated with lots of green details, art and coziness. The private bathroom is only part of this room and is located a few steps across the hall – perfect for a little extra privacy. Guest access 🌍 And all around? Ideal for nature lovers, individualists, romantics and explorers. Parking spots directly at the house! Other things to note **Important note about the hot tub in winter** The panoramic hot tub is generally out of service in the winter months. However, it can also be heated in winter upon request. Please note that this requires advance planning due to the long heating time. **Costs for winter use:** - Heating costs: €1.50 per hour of heating - Usage fee: €15 per hour of bathing **Example calculation:** The hot tub takes about 15 hours to heat the water from 5°C to 35°C. This results in €22.50 in heating costs plus €15 for one hour of use, for a total of **€37.50 for one hour of hot tub enjoyment**. **Of course, the sauna is also available as usual in winter.** 🛁 Whirlpool & sauna – your little break from everyday life 🌿✨ My small wellness area is a place to relax, unwind and enjoy. To ensure that everyone feels completely comfortable and that it remains clean, warm and cozy, you will find a transparent price overview and a few well-intentioned tips here. 🌞 Use The spa is generally available to all guests. Please let me know upon arrival or shortly before use – then I will be happy to prepare everything for you. 💶 Prices 🛁 Whirlpool (max 3 people) €30 for 1 hour Each additional hour or part thereof: €10 To ensure that the hot tub is pleasantly warm, I ask that you let me know in advance – it takes a very long time to heat up. Approx. 1.5 degrees per hour. 🔥 Panoramic barrel sauna (max 4 people) Depending on the outside temperature, the sauna takes about 1 hour to heat up. Use costs 6 euros per hour it is switched on. Exclusive use In principle, every guest should enjoy the relaxation. However, depending on the number of visitors, I can rent it out exclusively for 1-2 hours. The following additional prices then apply. Sauna only (up to 2 hours): €15 Whirlpool only (1 hour): €15 Entire wellness area (2 hours): €30 🍾 A bottle of sparkling wine is on the house 📜 So that everyone feels comfortable A few small rules help keep it pleasant for everyone: 🌿 General 🚿 Please take a quick shower – that way everything stays nice and clean. 🍹 Please handle glass bottles with care. 🚫🍔 No food in the pool or sauna area. 🚭 Please only smoke outside. 🩳 Whether naked or in swimwear – everyone as they like. Mutual respect is important. 🌙 In the evening and at night, please be considerate of the other guests. The hot tub is generally intended for shared use (max 3 people at a time). 🛁 Hot tub Please register briefly with me (Ingo). Max. 3 people at a time. No oil, makeup or hair dye in the water. Please do not adjust the temperature yourself. After about 30 minutes of bubbling, take a short break for the equipment. After use, please close the lid again and let us know briefly. 🔥 Panoramic sauna 4 people max at a time. Please always place a towel underneath – this protects the wood. Do not place wet textiles on the benches. Please don't operate the stove yourself – I'll be happy to help you. Please only pour infusions very carefully and in small amounts so that the wood stays dry. Please take a quick shower before moving into the hot tub. ✨ My wish is that you can really relax here.
