Charming mountain hut in the heart of Picos de Europa. Escape to nature and unwind in our beautiful restored mountain home, nestled in the breathtaking Picos de Europa National Park. Located in the picturesque village of Poo de Cabrales in Asturias, this cozy and spacious house offers a perfect mix of rustic charm and modern comfort, ideal for couples, families or small groups who want to experience the beauty of the Spanish countryside. The space Casa de Alegria is located on Calle la Alegria; the street of joy. We couldn't have come up with a more beautiful name ourselves. The house dates back to 1900 and has recently been completely renovated. It is located on a very quiet, dead-end street and overlooks the mountains. We do not have our own/private garden, but in front of the house there is a bench and across the street is our picnic table where you can sit comfortably. Across the street is the largest garden in Northern Spain.😊 Guest access The house is spread over three floors. In total about 120 m2. Ground floor; entrance that gives direct access to the open kitchen and the living room. Also a bathroom with toilet and shower. Storage room with washing machine. The kitchen and living room are equipped with all basic necessities. There is a TV available. Via the open staircase you can reach the first floor with two bedrooms with double beds. We reserve one of the bedrooms for our own use and storage of our belongings. On the second floor, there is a bathroom with two sinks, toilet and a shower. The spacious attic floor has a double bed and a doubter. There is also a sitting area. Other things to note 1. Check-in and check-out Check-in is possible from 3 p.m. (Earlier in consultation) Check out by 11:00 a.m. (Later in consultation) Key box To the right of the front door is the black key box. The locker works as follows: Open the black flap of the lockbox. Follow the instructions on the picture (press the bottom button, enter the code, press the top button) You will receive the code before your arrival. Open the door and put the key back in the key box IMMEDIATELY (there is a key ready on the kitchen table). So you always have a spare key. Perform the same actions to close the cabinet again. Front door The front door opens with the keyhole in the upper part. When you leave the house, you only have to pull the door tightly behind you. Note! Do not use the locks from the inside of the door! The door can be closed and opened from the inside with the handle. If you only want to use the part of the door, the door does not always close properly. Press firmly in that case. 2. House Rules No smoking in the house. When smoking outside, please clean up the cigarette butts. Pets are allowed. Only on the lower floor and not in the bedrooms. Dog poop in front of the door in the street and in the rest of the village must be picked up. Please be considerate of our neighbors! It is a very quiet neighborhood. No amplified music outside. 3. Safety and emergencies A first aid kit is available on top of the coat rack. Please replenish what you have used. Emergency numbers: 112 for fire, police or medical emergencies. There is a fire extinguisher on each floor. Smoke detectors are provided. There is a CO2 detector on the ground floor. 4. Parking and transportation There is free parking directly at the house or otherwise in the parking lot behind the house. There are no fixed places for residents and guests. 5. Wi-Fi information Free fiber optic WiFi is available. You will receive the code before your arrival. 6. Cleaning and bedding The house will be cleaned before arrival. Costs are 70 euros. Bed linens and towels are provided for all guests. 7. Energy consumption Heating: there is a pellet stove available. Pellet pellets must be purchased by yourself. There is no air conditioning available. Only a movable fan 8. Waste disposal Waste must be separated: paper, glass, and residual waste can be thrown in the designated containers. At the back of the house by the river and across the bridge across the river. 9. The surroundings From the house, various hiking trails of different difficulty can be walked directly. Most routes are between 10 and 25 minutes drive from our house. The coast is 25 kilometers away.
