Wheatfield cottage is a self contained 3 bedroom home. It is located on a 1280 acre cropping, cattle and sheep property in Western Southland. The Takatimu mountain range overlooks the farm. It is stunning place to relax and enjoy what the area has to offer. The space The cottage is double glazed, has a heat pump and a wood burning fire, so is warm and cosy. A Nespresso Machine is available , bring your own pods for the coffee you like to drink There is Sky TV, lots of games, a choice of New Zealand magazines to read and variety of dvd's. In our “backyard” you will find the popular Humpridge walking Track, Lakes Hauroko and Monawai and stop at the local Brunel Peaks Café. Experience the “Wairaurahiri Jet" boat tour from Lake Hauroko. The Clifden Caves, and if you enjoy fishing, the Waiau river is close by or easy drive to other popular fishing spots. Guest access You will have access to the whole cottage and surrounding section. It has a fully fenced garden that is safe for young children. Also included is a high chair, porta cot and bedding if required. The homestead is also located on the farm should you need us. Other things to note Wheatfield cottage is , 15min drive to Tuatapere, or 25 min drive to Otautau where both have a choice of lovely cafés, and a supermarket. ** Please Note, no WIFI and reasonable cellphone reception in the area. We see this as a positive as you can unwind, relax and enjoy the sounds of nature here on the farm.
