Cloudraker Cabin, a 4 Bedroom Log Home in Squamish
Description
This beautiful log home is ideally situated close to mountain biking trails on a quiet residential street, a 25-min drive to Creekside gondola on Whistler Mountain. There’s locked storage for bikes, kites and skis, lots of free parking. The kitchen is fully stocked for any culinary pursuits. Beds have plush duvets and soft sheets, blackout curtains on bedroom windows, puzzles, games and kids toys/books too. Everything you need for a great West Coast vacation. BL 9104 BC Reg H927723965 The space The 4 bedroom house has a complete kitchen but is still close to some amazing restaurants if you don’t want to cook. We welcome kids and dogs but do not have a baby gate for the stairs. There are plenty of toys for babies and toddlers and some books too. We have a full sized crib and also a pack n play. All bedrooms have blackout curtains and a mini split head except the one with a north-facing skylight, which has a light darkening curtain and a baseboard heater (no AC in that room). In the downstairs living room there is a gas fireplace for heat. There is no air conditioning downstairs but it has never been required even in the hottest of heat domes. The front yard is all garden with a focus on tall-growing flowers around the porch in summer/fall to increase privacy. We take pride in offering a comfortable space and are constantly making improvements to the cabin, from the addition of an extra bathroom, new flooring, a heat pump, new lights throughout and more to come. If our pictures aren’t an exact match to what you see upon arrival it’s because we’ve just finished improving something and haven’t taken new photos yet. Guest access There's room for 3 cars out front if angle-parked or backed in (less in winter if we get mountains of snow) and plenty of free street parking also. The bus stop is across the street and down about 50 m. Guests have access to the entire cabin, porch and front garden. We live in the back house and maintain the front gardens/lawn. We do our best to do work in the gardens when guests are away or between bookings, but during longer stays this sometimes isn't possible and you may see us watering, weeding, harvesting or mowing. Other things to note While children are permitted and welcome, the house is not baby- or small-child proof. The staircase is open (see photo) and there's no barrier in front of the fireplace, for example. All blinds are cordless but there are floor lamps with cords. There are some games, toys and dishes. Feel free to reach out with any inquires you may have. House-trained dogs are welcome inside but must remain with you. If you leave the house you must arrange day care for your dog or take it with you. Also note that there is NO yard at all for dogs to relieve themselves (new landscaped photos to come...), but there are plenty of nearby trails and a park about 4 houses down that is well-suited for dog walking. Due to our anaphylactic cat allergies we cannot permit cats in the house. We may permit extra guests upon request, but they will incur a $80/guest/night fee. We reserve the right to terminate your stay without refund if you exceed the maximum occupancy without prior written permission.
