Our home is nestled in the picturesque and peaceful setting of Bodinnick-by-Fowey, Cornwall. With its quaint streets, cafés, and stunning scenery Fowey, on the other side of the river, invites you to explore its unique attractions and immerse yourself in its serene atmosphere. Whether wandering along the streets, discovering local art galleries, or indulging in freshly caught seafood at a local restaurant, Choughs Holiday Cottage offers an unforgettable getaway. The space Choughs, A Peaceful Cornish Retreat with Stunning Views Tucked away in a quiet corner of Bodinnick-by-Fowey, Choughs is a charming, light-filled home with everything you need for a relaxing coastal getaway. With two comfortable bedrooms, spacious living areas, front and rear gardens, and parking for two medium-sized cars, it’s the perfect base to explore this beautiful part of Cornwall. BEDROOMS • Bedroom 1 features a cozy double bed and overlooks the peaceful rear garden , perfect for a slow morning with a cup of tea and birdsong. • Bedroom 2 has a double bed and a single bed, with views of the front garden and a glimpse of the distant sea, a lovely sight to wake up to. LIVING SPACES The lounge is warm and welcoming, with comfy seating, a TV, DVD player, and an electric fire for cooler evenings. There’s also a dining area for shared meals and games. Off the lounge, you’ll find the garden room , a bright, tranquil spot with breathtaking views, ideal for relaxing with a book or glass of wine. Step out onto the front patio and enjoy breakfast in the morning sun or unwind in the evening as the sky turns gold. KITCHEN & GARDEN The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need , from morning coffee to a full roast dinner. From here, step out into the large back garden, which backs onto open fields. It’s a wonderful spot to enjoy dinner al fresco while watching sheep and cattle graze in the distance as the sun sets. LOCATION Bodinnick-by-Fowey is a quiet village that feels a world away , but it’s just a short journey to all the charm of Fowey. Hop on the short, peaceful chain ferry (our personal favorite adventure!). Across the River Fowey, you’ll find a treasure trove of artisan shops, cozy pubs, and fantastic restaurants. The village of Fowey itself is full of character, with a timeless Cornish feel and a beautiful sandy cove that’s perfect for a day out. Just 11 minutes by car , or a picturesque 40 minute countryside walk, takes you to Polruan, another historic Cornish village bursting with charm and incredible views. Guest access You willl have acces to all areas of the property and will access via key safe Other things to note The village is a small pretty one, oozing character but like lots of Cornish places, it's hilly. The property has a number of steps leading to the entrance so may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
