Welcome to, The wilderness Retreat Estate, nestled in the serene forests of Almora. This property has 3 bedrooms in total, but only 2 bedrooms are available for guests-one on the ground floor and one on the first floor. The third bedroom on the ground floor is for the host’s personal use and is not accessible to guests. The room may or may not be occupied by the host during your stay, but this will not affect your privacy, as you will have full access designated rooms and all common areas. The space Important note} Our home is tucked away in a peaceful pine forest, with safe parking available right in the forest. Please note, there's a short 2–3 minute walk to the property through the trees. While it's easy during the day, arriving late at night may be inconvenient. Our help is available during the day, but you need any help past evening, please let us know in advance so we can make necessary arrangements. Indoor Spaces • Living Room: Warm and inviting with stone interiors, a fireplace, books, and ample seating. • Bedrooms: Two well-appointed double bedrooms. One with ensuite full bathroom on the ground floor and one on the first floor without an ensuite bathroom. There is one washroom without bath area on the terrace right outside the bedroom on first floor. • Bathrooms: The ensuite bathroom equipped with geysers and essential toiletries is available at ground floor. Washroom on terrace have no bath area or geyser. There is one washroom with Indian toilet, outside the property. • Kitchen: Open-layout kitchen with all the necessary amenities for light cooking. ________________________________________ Outdoor Spaces • Terrace with Mountain Views: A perfect spot for your morning tea or evening stargazing. • Garden: A small but serene space to sit and enjoy nature. • Bonfire Area: Available upon request for a cozy evening outdoors. Key Features • Rustic Stone Interiors: Experience an old-world charm with the homestay’s classic stone architecture. • Forest & Mountain Views: Wake up to the soothing sight of nature from every corner of the property. • Pet-Friendly: Bring your furry friends along but remember to keep them off the furniture and bring their essentials. • Cozy Fireplaces: Both bedrooms and the living room come with fireplaces (firewood available at ₹500 per bundle). • Bonfire Nights: Enjoy a warm bonfire under the starlit sky (₹500 per bundle of wood). • Rooftop & Garden: Relax and soak in the views from the terrace or spend time in the small garden. • Self-Cooking Kitchen: Fully equipped with an LPG stove, refrigerator, spices, and cookware. • Sustainable Power Backup: Powered by solar panels for a sustainable stay. • Wi-Fi Available: Stay connected amidst nature. Guest access Guests have access to the entire homestay, including: • Living Room: A cozy space with a fireplace, books, and seating. • Bedrooms: Two double rooms, each with a queen-size bed and additional floor mattresses available for extra guests. • Kitchen: Fully stocked with basic cooking essentials, perfect for preparing home-cooked meals and attached dining area. • Outdoor Spaces: A terrace, small patio, and garden area for unwinding. During your stay Caretaker is available at the property to assist the guest. Other things to note House Rules • Check-in: 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM | Check-out: 11:00 AM • Valid ID proof required at check-in. • No smoking indoors. • No loud music or parties. • Only light cooking is allowed in the kitchen. • Non-vegetarian food is allowed. • Pet owners must bring their pet essentials and ensure pets do not climb on furniture, also take care of your pet at night, dont let them roam around • Nighttime roaming is not advised due to the forest surroundings. Things to Note • Property is surrounded by natural landscapes, and the garden area does not have fencing. There is a steep drop in certain areas, so we advise guests to be careful around the places. • Meals are NOT provided, but restaurants are a 30-minute drive away. • Heaters are available only during winter for ₹400 per night. • Public parking is available, and the homestay is a 5-minute walk from the parking area. • Caretaker available on-site for assistance. • Pets must be supervised at all times, as wildlife is present in the area.
