Log burner, dog friendly, private courtyard

No 10 is a newly renovated mid-nineteenth century cottage. It is set in the centre of the historic village of Edwinstowe and is surrounded by pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops. Sherwood Forest is only a few minutes walk where you can explore the history of Robin Hood or walk one of the many trails. This superior, dog friendly cottage has two luxurious bedrooms which sleep four people. It has a fully fitted kitchen, a cosy log burner and a private secure patio. The space This beautiful cottage has everything you need for a holiday, whether it’s a short break or a longer stay. It has been tastefully renovated with sleek wooden shutters and a mixture of modern and traditional fittings and furniture. We are dog friendly! We love to take our dog on holiday with us! As a guideline, we allow two medium (or one large) house trained dogs over 12 months old but this is flexible. Please message me first to discuss. We do prefer that you don’t leave your dog unattended in a strange place without you (we also don’t want to upset our neighbours if they bark or cry) but if they are happy to be left alone for a short period, please only leave them if they are crated to avoid damage. We really would like to keep our cottage dog friendly and hope you understand our policy. There are lots of places to visit nearby, many of which are only a short distance away. Plenty of these are dog friendly and suitable for children. Please check before your visit. Sherwood Forest is only a short walk, providing a history of Robin Hood with lots of walking trails and the nearby Visitors’ Centre has a cafe and souvenirs shop. There is also a craft centre with some bespoke craft shops which are definitely worth a visit. Sherwood Pines is a few minutes drive with a children’s playground, walking trails, zip wires and bike hire. Centre Parcs and the Aquasana Spa - you can purchase a pass just for the day. Sherwood Forest Railway - Nottinghamshire’s only narrow gauge steam railway. Includes outdoor play area, refreshments and gifts. The space Entrance The front entrance is set back from the road and raised up above street level so although the location is central, it is much quieter than you would expect. There are several steps to the front door. There is also rear level access through the patio and into the lounge. Dog shower The property benefits from an outdoor dog shower so when you return from your muddy walk, you can rinse off your pooch with a warm shower and dry them with a microfibre drying towel (provided). Kitchen/dining/utility area The kitchen is fully fitted with an electric oven/gas hob, washing machine, full size dishwasher and fridge freezer. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster and microwave. Tea, coffee, sugar, oil and sauces are all provided. A tumble dryer is stored in the utility cupboard along with iron/ironing board and clothes airer. A highchair is available along with children’s tableware. Lounge/outdoor The lounge is spacious with a cosy log burner. A smart TV with Sky/Netflix and a smart speaker are available for your enjoyment along with books, games, children’s toys, colouring books and crayons. The stable door in the lounge leads outdoor to a private secure patio area with seating and outdoor lights, perfect for alfresco dining or just enjoying the extra space! Bedrooms The rooms have been furnished to accommodate either couples or families with one king size bedroom and one super kingsize bedroom which converts to a twin room. Luxurious Egyptian cotton bedding is provided. There is a make up station in each bedroom with a shelf, mirror and stool, ideal for doing your hair and make up. A hairdryer is provided in each room but there is also a 4 way lead for additional electrical devices. A travel cot is available with blankets aswell as a baby monitor. Bathroom The modern bathroom is newly fitted with a four piece suite and toiletries/toilet rolls are included. Luxurious Egyptian cotton towels are provided. Parking On-street luggage drop is available. In addition, there are two free public car parks a short walk away. A permit for free parking is required for stays over two hours; two are available inside the property. Please return these before your departure.
