So as we have enough water, water activities like Kayaking are possible The lake is under reservoir region where the water of Boothathan Kettu Dam get stored. So whenever the Dam shutter remain closed, we will have enough water in the lake and we can do water activities that time When the authorities open Dam Shutter, there will not be water in the lake. We cannot predict when they do it. When the water density is on the higher side, they will open the Shutter. Normally during monsoon time and for maintenance authorities will open it. Whenever the government authorities open Boothathan Kettu Dam, especially due to heavy monsoon rain, water in the lake will drain. That is the reason you don't have much water in the lake. During this time we don't be able to do any kind of water activities due to very less density of water.
