Grève de Lecq Barracks is the headquarters of local arts organisation ArtHouse Jersey. During your stay you may see artistic and community projects on site, including mostly year-round traditional printmaking and pottery. The money from your stay goes directly into ArtHouse Jersey's mission of enabling art and creativity that has a positive impact on our Island community. The space The apartments have been converted by the National Trust for Jersey to offer high-quality, centrally heated accommodation, whilst retaining the historic fabric of the property, including the original fireplaces. The accommodation sleeps four and is situated within two minutes' walking distance of the beach, the North Coast footpaths, and a number of pubs and beach cafes. A good bus service runs from just outside the property to St Helier. Grève de Lecq Barracks is the only surviving barracks left on the Island's North Coast and is an excellent example of a former self-contained military unit. It is currently the site of local arts organisation ArtHouse Jersey, which uses the main parts of the Barracks site as its headquarters for artistic and community projects. ArtHouse Jersey supports artists from Jersey and across the world to create ambitious work that has a positive impact on the Island community and international audiences. Other things to note Please note, there is no terrestrial TV as signal is quite limited in the bay. However, the TVs are SMART TVs and connect to the internet, so there is access to Netflix, BBC Iplayer etc. ArtHouse Jersey is a charity that serves our Island community and international audiences by supporting artists from Jersey and across the world to create ambitious work. The art we support has been shown in galleries, cinemas, online and performance venues all over the world as well as in schools, care-homes and Parish Halls across the Island. We operate between our HQ at Greve de Lecq Barracks, our exhibition space in St Helier ArtHouse Jersey at Capital House and surprising locations around the Island.
