18th Century Charming Character Barn Conversion

Lavender Barn is an 18th century converted barn situated down a quiet farm lane in a rural spot, 15 minutes walking from Parkhurst Forest but only a short distance from Newport. The town has a good shopping centre, many pubs and restaurants and quite a few historical buildings. (Ghost walks are popular in the summer!) Beautiful Carisbrooke Castle is situated within walking distance, as is Carisbrooke High Street, (10/15 minutes) which has two pubs and an excellent Italian restaurant. The space Guests also have use of the dining/kitchen area and the lounge. There are tea/coffee making facilities in the room and you can top-up from the dresser in the kitchen. There is plenty of parking in the drive and guests are free to use the garden . If the weather is nice however, the front garden is an ideal place to relax and unwind and enjoy the view. There is a lot of bird-life around and sometimes ducks, moorhens and hares visit the front garden. THERE IS A RESIDENT CAT ON THE PREMISES. PLEASE NOTE: There are 4 uneven steps and concrete at the back of the property and so is not suitable if you have mobility issues. Guest access The dining/kitchen area is available for guest use, but please note I do not allow the cooking of meat in the oven. Out of consideration for other guests, you are asked not to use the kitchen after 9pm. In the front and back gardens there are tables and chairs for guest use, and you may also use the summer house. It is possible to arrive earlier than the check in time of 2pm to leave cases and your car if you are going walking, and please advise me of this. During your stay The island is an incredibly friendly and beautiful place and I hope to help you make the most of your stay here. There are leaflets of local attractions, bus timetables and Information Folders available. I shall be on hand for most or all of your stay to answer any questions you may have.
