Gala Suite - The Apple Barn

Gala Suite, a split ground and first floor suite of The Apple Barn, features an open-plan design that combines a kitchen, dining and lounge area with sofa-bed. It includes a king-size bed that can be converted into two single beds if required. The en-suite bathroom features a walk-in shower. A fully stocked kitchen including an oven, induction hob, microwave, and a compact fridge. Underfloor heating throughout the suite. Triple-glazed windows in the bedroom for enhanced tranquillity. The space Gala suite is one of 5 suites making up The Apple Barn. It is a modern building based on the site of an old apple sorting barn dating back to the 1940's. Located at Hungarian Hall in Pettistree it is close the the historic market town of Woodbridge and a short drive away from the beautiful coastal towns of Aldeburgh, Thorpeness and Southwold. Other local attractions include Framlingham Castle which is a 15 minute drive. Hungarian Hall is tucked away in the Suffolk countryside and therefore benefits from rural sights and sounds away from the hustle and bustle of a busy town. The Apple Barn is surrounded by nature and its not uncommon for you to see a heard of fallow deer grazing close by, game birds jostling for territory or large birds of prey gliding overhead. Please note Hungarian Hall Estate also hosts weddings in our marquee, this can mean some noise disturbance on Saturdays nights, the date below are all our 2026 events. 25th April 23rd & 30th May 6th June 11th, 18th & 25th July 1st, 8th, 15th, 21st & 28th August 5th & 26th September 3rd October Please contact us before booking if you have any queries. Guest access Gala benefits from a shared patio and Gas BBQ area to the west of the property. Guests also have access to green areas of the grounds where they can walk dogs or enjoy an evening stroll. 1 well behaved dogs are permitted, we do charge an fee of £20 per stay to cover additional cleaning. The sofa bed in the main living room is available for guests use, we charge an additional £20 for linen & towels if required. If you are booking with less than 48 hours notice the bed will be made up as a superking. A charge of £10 will be applicable if you would like the bed split into twins. Other things to note The owners also run a marquee business on site. Staff usually arrive at 7.30 and depart for the first job in vans. It is possible this may cause a bit of disturbance. But they always endeavour to keep noise to a minimum.
